Story
History: We received a plea to help a group of male adult dogs from a local hoarding situation. It broke our hearts to see the condition the homeowner and dogs were living in. The dogs were welcomed to a temporary housing situation by a local rescuer when the homeowner was hospitalized. Unfortunately, the homeowner passed away days later. It is a heartbreaking situation and we promise to give these boys fulfilling and loving lives. They are working on their trust and confidence and doing better each day! A Note from the Foster: If you're looking for a super chill guy that loves to cuddle, this guy is for you. He has had no accidents in the house and keeps his kennel clean overnight. He's on a schedule for his meals and potty breaks. Weather permitting, he loves to go for a walk. He's great on a leash and walks close by your side. I have not heard him bark. Only during his dreams! He has had all of his vaccinations. During his exam, they discovered he has severe cataracts on both eyes, which is causing some blindness. He's waiting for an appointment with the optometrist. His condition does not restrict him from being a content dog with his low-key life! However, he will follow you wherever you go. He likes to know someone is around!

Story
History: Brimsley is a super handsome boy who was returned to rescue due to no fault of his own. He is hoping to find his forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Meet your new bestie, Brimsley! This small-but-mighty heartthrob is the total package—smart, playful, and bursting with personality. He already knows “Sit” and “Stay” and glows when he earns praise for a job well done. Brimsley is both potty trained and kennel trained, making him more than ready to settle into his forever home. He thrives on a predictable schedule (morning, late afternoon, and bedtime potty breaks are his sweet spot) and sleeps soundly in his kennel at night or when his people are away—especially if treats are involved. By day, Brimsley is a delightful mix of zoomies and snuggles. He loves racing around the house, chewing on his favorite toys, chasing tennis balls, splooting dramatically in front of the window, and keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood critters. But his true specialty? Curling up on the couch or a cozy dog bed for a well-earned nap near his people. With his small stature he isn’t able to jump on/off the couch on his own, so he will respectfully ask to join by pawing our knee and then turning around to present his backside to be picked up. Daily walks are one of Brimsley’s greatest joys. There are just so many fascinating smells to investigate! His enthusiasm sometimes turns into a little zig-zagging adventure as he follows his nose, so he’d benefit from some continued leash practice. The good news? Those adorable little legs tire out quickly, so it doesn’t take long to satisfy his exercise needs. Because he’s such a petite explorer, he should be supervised in fenced areas to ensure he doesn’t sneak through an opening during a sniffari mission. Brimsley loves to meet everyone he sees. He’s a true social butterfly who believes every outing is a meet-and-greet opportunity. Big or small, male or female, two-legged or four-legged—if he sees you, he’d love to say hello. He happily greets other friendly dogs on our walks and has done wonderfully with our 34 lb resident pup. Small children who are gentle and respectful of his size are also welcome friends in his book; however, cats and chickens are still a mystery to him. Brimsley would enjoy having a dog sibling to play with, but he’d be just as happy as your one-and-only, soaking up all the love and attention for himself. Brimsley is a bit of a homebody at heart. While he happily heads out for neighborhood strolls, car rides can make him anxious. He’s been making progress and we have found that riding in a booster seat or on a passenger’s lap (rather than in a kennel) seems to help. With patience, reassurance, and consistency, he continues to grow more confident every day; however, this may be an ongoing sensitivity for him. Brimsley would thrive with a loving adopter who’s ready to cheer him on, stick to a routine, and appreciate both his playful social butterfly energy and his champion-level cuddles. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, clever, and endlessly entertaining little shadow who will adore you with his whole heart. Could Brimsley be your perfect match?

Story
History: Wendy Woo is a beautiful little lady who was recently surrendered to rescue. She is so loving and working hard on her confidence building. She hopes to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Wendy Woo is a 12 pound love sponge who is ready for her forever home to continue showing her how to be her best self! She is a breeder release who has only been with me a short while, but it has been incredible to watch her open up each day as she gets more comfortable. Wendy Woo has learned that outside is fun and a good place to potty, that leashes aren't bad, that treats are delicious, and that laps are very comfortable. She sleeps in her kennel quietly all night and keeps it clean. I have kenneled her for short periods throughout the day and she does great. Wendy Woo is very curious about my 15 pound dog and likes to follow him around - but if he initiates play that still makes her a little nervous so a lower energy dog could be a great fit to continue showing her the ropes. She is doing great with potty training on a schedule. She doesn't understand what toys are yet, but she has done a few little zoomies so it's probably coming soon. She has met new people from the comfort of her kennel and done well, but she has not interacted with cats or children yet. Wendy Woo would love a home where she can cuddle up and get pets and snuggles to her heart's delight.
