Story
Maggie Mae aka Margo is an adoption return in need of a foster or foster to adopt home as soon as possible.    Below is some information provided to us from her adoptive family. Although it was 4 years ago that she was in foster care with us,, she did do very well with the resident dog in her foster home. Her adoptive family has stated she can be dog selective and does also seem to want to be more of a loner than an integral part of the family dynamic as a whole.   Margo is an incredibly low maintenance dog. Providing her with food, water, and land to roam, explore and protect, and she is in heaven. Her navy-seal level alertness and observation skills are amazing, and she takes SO much pride in protecting our family and land. Her happiest times have been off leash, walking by my side, in rivers, lakes, and large parks, that were quiet. She went off to school for 5 weeks, where she learned to heal, sit, and stay, while walking on her owner’s left side. But being that she is a free spirit, she doesn’t like leashes, and prefers to roam and explore at her own pace and discretion.  https://www.rescuecrew.org/how-to-become-a-foster.html   ##1994159##

Story
Max is a big goofball of a German Shepherd that loves playing fetch. Big ol’ tennis balls are his absolute favorite toy and he will run back and forth with them longer than you will want to throw them. When playing, he operates at high energy but is also good at chilling at home and relaxing. In fact, Max is a huge cuddle monster that melts to the floor when you pet him and thrives on physical contact, praise, and interactions with his people. I would call him medium low energy overall with occasional spurts of high energy play.  Right now, we are working with Max to reinforce solid basic obedience commands such as sit, lay down, shake, leave it, get it, down and stay. Max is a smart boy that is quick to learn and enjoys training. He would love a home where he can continue to learn and bond strongly with his people through fun mental activities. Clocking it at 110lbs he is a big boy but is very gentle for his size. He is friendly with other dogs and loves to play so another big dog in the household already would work well, but isn’t necessary so long as he has people that enjoy playing with him and giving him lots of love.  ##2013925##

Story
Hi! I’m Sheila, I'm 8 years old and done being a mama! I’m enjoying my new life in Minnesota learning to play and looking forward to retiring on a couch, eating treats, playing with my toys, and snuggling up with my people. I’ve been spending my days dancing around my foster home trying out ALL the toys and ALL the beds, sniffing ALL the smells in the backyard, and taking naps both inside and out. Things I’ve learned I love are attention, treats, attention, toys (especially squeaky ones), attention, breakfast and dinner, attention, and sitting in laps. And did I mention attention? Things I’m figuring out is pottying outside (I know to go outside, but usually go inside once a day just because i want to!), which things/plants are ok to chew (hint- phone charger cords are NOT ok), and sometimes other dogs (I want ALL your attention!) I play tug and chase with the right companion but they need to be ok with me being the boss. Things I’m not a fan of are storms and loud noises, strangers, and the super cold weather. I don’t know or care what cats are- boring! I’m poodly smart with a big personality and would love to learn more games and might benefit from working with a trainer to help me learn to share if I end up living with other dogs. I can get a little jealous and bossy!  I will let you know if it sounds like anyone is coming home so living in a place with shared walls won't work for me as all those noises make me anxious and our neighbors won't like me letting them all know!  I will also answer if I hear other dogs calling me, ignoring them would be rude! I don't really like the leash but love to go outside in my fenced in yard to go potty, so I will definitely need a fence!  Zoomies in the yard or chasing my people are enough exercise for me. What I want most in life is to snuggle my BFF and eat treats. Can you be that BFF? Story
I'm  Robert  and am 2 years old. I'm a mini golden doodle. I have a luscious brown coat with hints of white.  I recently moved to MN on January 21, 2024 to enjoy my retirement from breeding. I am learning to be a dog and have bursts of puppy energy. I got along well with my foster sister before she was adopted and resident cats. I would prefer to have a pup sibling to keep me company in my future home. I am shy around humans and it takes me a little bit to warm up. Loud or sudden movements can be scary and I tend to get skittish or anxious. I don't mind the little humans trying to cuddle with me but I do keep my distance as they tend to make lots of sudden movements. I prefer the calm adult but do love to give the kids lots of kisses. I am learning to play with toys and chew on them.  I love doing zoomies in the backyard and am learning to walk with a harness/leash.  I go out pretty regularly to do my potty business and have only had two #2 accidents in the house because the human didn't read my body cues fast enough. I'm a bit of a talker when I hear all these noises that I haven't heard before, like a TV or someone entering a room without letting me know.  I'm not used to being alone so this can make me feel stressed but I do go in my kennel when the humans are away. I also am sleeping through the night in my kennel. My human puts on the sound machine which helps to tune out all the other noises. I am enjoying being a dog and love to give kisses. Can I give you some puppy kisses?  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, dental, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue.
