Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Layla — A Gentle Soul Learning to Trust   Layla is a sweet but shy girl who’s just beginning to discover what it means to truly be a dog. Until recently, she lived in a breeding facility — one of those “moms behind the curtain,” raising litters of puppies adored by many, while her own world stayed small and lonely.   Now safe and loved in foster care, Layla is slowly finding her footing in this big new world. After two months, she’s finally comfortable lying in the same room as her human and, with some gentle encouragement, comes over for soft pets. Progress is happening — it’s just at her pace.   Layla’s journey reminds us that healing takes time. There’s no magic switch to make her a “normal” dog overnight. She needs a family that understands this — one that will offer patience, compassion, and space while celebrating every little victory along the way.   Because of her shyness, Layla will thrive best in:   A calm home with no small children A fenced yard, so she can explore safely A confident dog friend, to show her the ropes and help her feel secure A Note About Safety and Flight Risk   During her first month in foster care, Layla was a significant flight risk. Once she got outside into her fenced yard, there was no getting her back in — she would hide behind trees and go straight into flight mode. For that reason, her future family must be extremely cautious and understand she will need a long lead when outdoors, even within a fenced area. Her foster mom can provide detailed guidance on how to help Layla feel safe, build trust, and learn how to calmly come in and out of the home.   Everyday Challenges   Layla is still working on mastering everyday dog skills. She hasn’t yet learned how to navigate stairs — a single step down she can manage, but multiple steps, such as those on a deck or inside a home, are still too overwhelming for her right now. With time, patience, and encouragement, she may overcome this.   One of Layla’s quirks: she won’t eat from a bowl. It’s a reminder of her past — when bowls likely meant stress or fear. Her foster mom hand-feeds her by scooping her food into her kennel, and Layla happily gobbles it up! She’s also a bit picky about her meals, but her foster can share all the details.   Layla may be a “designer breed,” but she’s also a survivor — a gentle heart ready to learn that love can last forever. With understanding and time, she’ll blossom into the loyal companion she was always meant to be.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Good with dogs, House-trained,
Story
History: We received a plea to help a group of male adult dogs from a local hoarding situation. It broke our hearts to see the condition the homeowner and dogs were living in. The dogs were welcomed to a temporary housing situation by a local rescuer when the homeowner was hospitalized. Unfortunately, the homeowner passed away days later. It is a heartbreaking situation and we promise to give these boys fulfilling and loving lives. They are working on their trust and confidence and doing better each day! A Note from the Foster: If you're looking for a super chill guy that loves to cuddle, this guy is for you. He has had no accidents in the house and keeps his kennel clean overnight. He's on a schedule for his meals and potty breaks. Weather permitting, he loves to go for a walk. He's great on a leash and walks close by your side. I have not heard him bark. Only during his dreams! He has had all of his vaccinations. During his exam, they discovered he has severe cataracts on both eyes, which is causing some blindness. He's waiting for an appointment with the optometrist. His condition does not restrict him from being a content dog with his low-key life! However, he will follow you wherever you go. He likes to know someone is around!

Story
History: Wendy Woo is a beautiful little lady who was recently surrendered to rescue. She is so loving and working hard on her confidence building. She hopes to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Wendy Woo is a 12 pound love sponge who is ready for her forever home to continue showing her how to be her best self! She is a breeder release who has only been with me a short while, but it has been incredible to watch her open up each day as she gets more comfortable. Wendy Woo has learned that outside is fun and a good place to potty, that leashes aren't bad, that treats are delicious, and that laps are very comfortable. She sleeps in her kennel quietly all night and keeps it clean. I have kenneled her for short periods throughout the day and she does great. Wendy Woo is very curious about my 15 pound dog and likes to follow him around - but if he initiates play that still makes her a little nervous so a lower energy dog could be a great fit to continue showing her the ropes. She is doing great with potty training on a schedule. She doesn't understand what toys are yet, but she has done a few little zoomies so it's probably coming soon. She has met new people from the comfort of her kennel and done well, but she has not interacted with cats or children yet. Wendy Woo would love a home where she can cuddle up and get pets and snuggles to her heart's delight.

Story
History: Winnie Minnie is a beautiful little girl who was recently surrendered to rescue. She is so loving and working hard on her confidence building. She hopes to find her forever home soon! A Note from the Foster: Meet your new best friend! Winnie Minnie is an 8-month-old female mini goldendoodle who is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly — a tiny 12 pound bundle of joy with a big personality. She’s a total ball of energy when it’s playtime - toys, zoomies, tug-of-war... she’s in! - but once she’s gotten her wiggles out, she happily transforms into a cuddle bug who’s ready to nap by your feet. Here a little more about this sweetheart: - Crate trained superstar – She does extremely well in her kennel with no whining or barking. She does not pee or poop in her kennel at all and has successfully managed a typical 8-hour work schedule. - Almost fully potty trained – Any accidents in the house have been human error. Her cues haven't been super obvious yet but she does great when kept on a schedule of going out every 2-3 hours when not in her kennel. - Prefers a puppy pen for potty time – She’s not currently a fan of the leash so she does best going outside in a secure puppy pen where she feels comfortable and relaxed. I'm guessing she would love a fenced-in yard even more! - Thrives with her own space at mealtime – She feels most comfortable eating and enjoying her water in a quiet area where she can relax and feel safe. - Loves toys and chew bones - A basket full of goodies is Winnie Minnie's dream come true! She’s happiest when she can bounce between playtime and chewing on a favorite bone. - Comfortable around other dogs – She is respectful and relaxed with the resident dog, though she hasn’t shown interest in active play yet. Winnie Minnie is smart, loving, eager to bond and at the perfect age to continue training and grow into an amazing lifelong companion.
