Story
Well, Renne is the sweetest boy. It is easy to take pictures of him because he loves being touched and that shows in every photo. To meet him is to love him. He is a great favorite.Through no fault of his own he has had a troubled start in life.
Ragdolls are known for their very sensitive, emotional nature which is a part of their Siamese heritage. They do not take change well or crisis or chaos. Renne is an exceptionally sensitive, loving kitty. Here is his story:
A nice family with kids bought him as a kitten. A medical situation developed in that family that caused a great deal of commotion in the home, loud noises, service providers visiting, disruptions. He was very distressed. He hid. Loud noises scared him. His vet said "He is entirely healthy but his life with you is too stressful. I would suggest he be adopted into a new home." Utterly heartbroken his family finally contacted me asking could I rehome him.
I found him a wonderful home with a woman, her son and one other cat. She had recently lost a senior kitty. He loved them and slept with his mom every night though he still hid during much of the day. An experienced cat woman, his mom thought he was "the sweetest cat she had ever met".
So what went wrong? Well, unfortunately, her resident senior kitty didn't welcome him and as time passed things got worse not better as she tormented him. Ultimately after six months his new mom made the made the painful decision she had to let him go for his own good.
We were surprised how easily and quickly he settled back in with us. We could see how much his time in his last home had helped him. He is good natured and very friendly to everyone. Amazingly he seems comfortable with the other cats around him. It is hard to believe he is the same cat.
He has been growing up and will be four in June. I don't know what this has all been about but I know he was sold at a very young age. Could this be as simple as being taken away from his siblings too soon ? Needing time to grow into a confident adult?
Third time is the charm. I am looking for a very special home for him. A quiet, happy, stable home, one with folks who are around much of the time. Maybe a retired person or couple or someone who works from home.I would like to set him up as an only pet, no other cats or dogs, no young children just to make the situation easy for him.
He is such an amazing treasure. Some family will be so very lucky to have his loving company.
Renne is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Renne please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!
