Story
What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior team here at OHS and am looking for a special home. Click the "meet me" button to start the process and schedule an appointment. To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout.Handling Sensitivity: I can be overwhelmed by overhandling, restraint or touch. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways and will need to go to cat savvy home.Overstimulation: I enjoy interacting with people, but petting can easily become overwhelming and unpleasant for me. I may exhibit my discomfort in a variety of ways, including biting, and need an owner who pays close attention to my body language.I am not your average Ragdoll!I know I'm gorgeous, and you're welcome to admire me from afar-but please don't pet me. I need time to build confidence and trust to form a strong bond before I'll feel comfortable with petting. I need plenty of space and time to observe my surroundings and people before feeling safe. I may meow and come close or rub on you for attention but that's not an invitation to pet me. Fast movements and people walking quickly by me make me nervous. Slow movements and gentle reassurance will help me feel more comfortable. I'm very spirited - I'll need positive outlets for my energy, hands-off playtime, and the ability to make decisions on my terms.I love the finer things in life- lounging around in my window perch sunbathing and watching wild life, playing with my favorite toys, rolling around in catnip, and eat yummy treats! The type of home I'm looking for:I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I am not for the first time cat owner. Someone very familiar with feline body language is a must for me. I need to go to a home without small children.I would prefer to be the only pet in the home.It could be with you! Click here to learn about the adoption process. Primary Color: Seal Bicolor Weight: 12.94 Age: 3yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
Candy and Edna are wonderful Siamese kitties looking for a home that has no dogs or small children. Another cat would be ok *if* they are rough and tumble enough to stand up to Edna's bullying. They would love it if their new human(s) were home most of the day to give them the level of care and attention they deserve! Candy is the sleek dark one who always looks mildly startled, and Edna is the fluffy bold and very friendly cat who will sit with you while you read the newspaper, watch TV, or work on the computer. They would love to sleep with you at night. They will charm you with their antics and steal your heart! They are inside-only cats who are fixed and have their shots. They come with a giant cat tower, bed pet, window seat, and water fountain. They love premium salmon food, dried tuna flakes, cat grass, and big dumb slow flies. Edna is 90% trained to "sit" and "stand up" for Churu sticks. This beautiful bonded pair of "sisters by other mothers" live in Salem with their owner and their rehoming fee including supplies is $250. Story
This is Mr.Pepper. He's the most lovable cat you'll ever meet. Pepper is an 8 year old Chocolate Lynx Point Ragdoll with a friendly personality who has lived with kids, other cats and dogs throughout his life. He's not a huge fan if dogs, but tolerant as long the dog is respectful.  Although he looks angry, he's really just a silly lover at heart. He's a big cat, but when he hears his food hitting the dish, he runs like a bat out of hell. What he loves: - endlessly petting him - being held - joining in with everything you're doing - laying in the sun.  What he dislikes: - being told where not to go - not being the center of attention - car rides Why I'm re-homing him: I got him about a year ago just as my job started making me travel A LOT. He really needs someone around consistently that can give him the attention he deserves. It's taken this long to make the hard decision but he will be a great cat for person or family. Mr. Pepper lives in Portland and is indoor only.  His rehoming fee is $50 For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
