✨ Elphaba – From Dumpster to Dream Girl ✨ A Little Patience = A Lifetime of Love 💚 Meet Elphaba, a 1.5-year-old Ragdoll mix with a heart as big as her gorgeous, fluffy coat! You may remember her as one of the Pampers Kittens—rescued from a diaper box left by a dumpster. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but she’s worked so hard to overcome her fears, and now she’s ready to find her forever home. Elphaba is still learning to fully trust humans, so she’ll need a patient, cat-savvy adopter who can go at her pace. Once she feels safe, she transforms into a sweet, affectionate girl—rubbing against your legs, asking for pets, and leaning in for those magical bum scratches. 💫 Because new places can be overwhelming, Elphaba will need to start in a crate to help her adjust and feel secure. She also must have a confident, friendly cat in the home to show her the ropes and help her continue building trust. She’s all about feline friendship but would do best in a quiet, adult-only home without dogs. Elphaba is a shy but shining star just waiting for her moment. If you're the kind of person who finds joy in helping a cat truly bloom, this sweet girl will reward you with a love like no other. 💕 Please be sure to read a cat's full bio before applying! We do our best to keep bios updated as we learn more about each cat or as circumstances change. The bio is the best place to find the most current and important information about their needs, personality, and ideal home. Thank you for your interest in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! Story
Meet Kairo! This big fluffernutter is about three years old and around eight pounds. Kairo is a man of mystery and intrigue. With how stunningly handsome he is, you'd think he came from some wealthy heiress and previously lived a life of luxury. Nope, he was found roaming the streets of New Bedford! No collar, no tags, no microchip. Whatever he has been through, it has seemingly been a little too much for him. Initially angry when he first came in, he has since settled into a quiet depression. He'll sit in the corner and make himself as small as possible in hopes that he'll go unnoticed. He'll shake as soon as someone starts touching him. If you try to pick him up, he freezes and pretends that he's a stuffed animal. He eats, he drinks, he uses the bathroom, but he has zero interest in being social...With people, that is. Once we moved him into a room with other cats, he picked the first whiskers he saw and deemed them his emotional support. More often that not he can be found squeezed into the smallest possible space behind his roommate, Igor. We're not going to argue, whatever gives him some peace as he adjusts to life at the shelter! We want to make it clear that at the moment, Kairo is not an outgoing boy. He doesn't try to fight you, he'll just sit there and tolerate being touched until you're done. He's not going to be greeting you at the door or making biscuits on your lap, he's going to need a lot of time to settle in and feel safe in his new home. He almost certainly has potential to be a sweetheart, but from what we've seen, he's just very scared. As those familiar with felines know, cats are very sensitive to change and can become stressed about it easily. Kairo is no different. If you're hoping for a gorgeous kitty with a big personality, he's not going to be your guy. If you have time to offer being the emotional support for your pet and the patience to see him slowly crawl out of his shell, you may be his person!Due to his skittish nature, we're going to ask that he go to a home with no dogs, and no kids. Other cats will be fine as long as they're fine with him trying to become an extension of them. He does not know the concept of personal space. To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com or fax it to us at 508-677-9175.

Story
Valentino or “Tino” was born on 10/15/2016. He is still a big baby. Give him a fuzzy blanket and he will knead and suckle. He is very easily identifiable because of his different colored ears. He was the most unique in his litter. Tino discovered his love for the outdoors when he would go for walks as a kitten. Now he can barely stand to be indoors, unless it is snowing out. He prefers to roam free but will always come home for food, cuddles and sleep. He will follow you on a walk around the neighborhood. Tino likes wet food and not dry food, but he will sometimes tolerate it. He also likes homemade pate containing chicken, liver and sweet potatoes. He loves to be held and pet. He does well with other cats so long as they are friendly and not territorial, otherwise he will run and hide. He will also run away at the sight of rambunctious toddlers. He will do best in a quiet and calm home.

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting, Rocco! Everyone who meets him, loves him! He's about 18 months old and 10 pounds. Rocco was abandoned by his human this past spring. He was left at a feral cat feeding station next to a hardware store. He meowed and went right home with us without protest. He has proven to be a wonderful cat. Since Rocco is living in a foster home, there have been other foster cats and kittens with him. He likes the girls, but also loves the male kittens. There has never been any issues between the cats or the kittens. He treats the kittens like he mothered them himself! In fact, if there was any way for you to adopt Rocco and one of his favorite kittens, that would just be remarkable!! We love him and have to ask! Rocco is litter pan trained. He has never marked. He enjoys playing with the other kittens, playing with interactive cat toys, and hanging out as king of his domain. Rocco eats canned food and dry kibble every day. On occasion, he gets dehydrated minnows and crunchy cat treats. Rocco has never been around Dogs that we are aware of. We won't send him to a home with dogs. Rocco is neutered, rabies, FVRCP, dewormed, microchip, and receives parasite prevention. He comes with all records. Serious Adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you. $275 adoption fee, includes paid transport and a health certificate from a licensed vet. Rocco is worth his weight in gold! Please copy and paste this link into your browser to fill out the easy online application. If you list a veterinarian, current or past, please call them to provide information to us on your pets. https://form.jotform.com/232763732515154

Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting! O' Malley and is litter have been in rescue and living in a central Alabama foster home with other kittens and cats since they were 4 weeks old. We estimate she is 4 1/2 months now and 4.5 pounds. They were too small to spay/neuter before 12 weeks without risk, and when they were scheduled, the clinic had to reschedule our animals, which held them back further. We took their previous ads down. When we have an approved application, we set up a FaceTime to meet the pet and foster. We have been sending dogs and cats to New England homes for over 15 years. O' Malley is the only orange kitten in his litter of flame point Siamese. He is the most shy, but we feel that will change when he's getting more attention from his family. He lives in a foster home with multiple cats, kittens, and busy lifestyles so he doesn't get the time and attention he needs. He's the most independent of the litter, yet he's close to Rocco, Duchess, and Flurry. They all love each other, play together and groom each other daily. O'Malley has not been introduced to Dogs and we prefer he go to a home without them. We love these cats and have to ask, Would you be looking to add a pair of cats to your life? O'Malley will do best with another kitten/cat that we have for adoption or a young kitten in your home. Kittens do best with another kitten or young playful cat in the home. O'Malley is neutered, with FVRCP and boosters, rabies, combo test negative, microchip, multiple deworming, and he receives parasite prevention. O'Malley eats good quality wet cat food and dry food every day. Adoption fee $275 transport & health certificate $75 We do not own the transport van. Total $350 Serious adopters should fill out the application online. Copy and paste this link into your browser. https://form.jotform.com/232763732515154 If you list a current or previous veterinarian, please call their office and ask them to release information about the pets on your account.
