This special little guy was discovered by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan who was instantly smitten by his loving and sweet nature. Deeply desiring to keep Jack as her own, fate had other plans, and she made the difficult decision to surrender him to our rescue. Story
Othello, our 10-year-old, 15lb Rat Terrier mix, is ready for his forever home. He is a very sweet and calm dog. He does well with other dogs and is good with people. He may be a little timid in the beginning but warms up quickly once he gets to know you. He is good on walks, loves his naps and toys. Othello can have some separation anxiety at first but does better when he adjusts to his new environment. One quirk of his is that he is an escape artist, a real Houdini, therefore, high walls are preferred. However, once he has adjusted and is comfortable in his new home, he just wants to stay home and get all the love he deserves. He has been waiting very patiently for someone to notice him. We think he's a hidden gem that deserves to shine. If you would like to know more about him or have questions, email us at heartandhomerescueorg@gmail.com.

Story
Missy was adopted from us four years ago. She was a loved member of a family, but her mom got very ill and was unable to care for her any longer. So, she is back with us and in the market for a new home! Missy is approx 9 years old now. She has long, lanky legs but only weighs 10lbs. When she initially came to us, she had no socialization and was very nervous. She will likely always be shy with new people (especially men), but she does bond with her family once she is comfortable. She is also never aggressive. Even when she is the most scared, she has never even growled or snarled at anyone. She is a sensitive soul and just needs someone to give her some time to adjust. Missy was always really quiet and mellow with us. She enjoys perching on the back of the couch and relaxing most of the day. She is happy to just hang out at home and is a really easy girl! Missy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. She js also housebroken and crate trained. She isn't super excited about toys or food but she loves her blankets! She gets along with dogs and cats well but, due to her being so shy, we think a home with no children would be best. If you're interested in meeting this sweet senior, please submit an adoption application on our website at www.dominoeffectanimalrescue.orgApril 21, 2024, 4:08 pm

Story
Around 4 year old, 15 lbs chihuahua mix. Adopted from West LA animal shelter - he was there for a few weeks after having been surrendered by a family, so he's never been a stray. He's very well behaved, rarely barks unless he's left alone and is very eager to be trained so long as treats are involved. He is affectionate and likes to show his belly to get chest and belly rubs, but can be paranoid and defensive with strangers. A new home would ideally have another dog or a cat for him to be friends with. I've been walking him about an hour throughout the day. He's in good health, though one of his teeth has some bloody gums.
