Story
Tate was found abandoned on the streets of Nashville as a young puppy and was fortunate to be rescued and placed with a loving foster mom who cared for her during her first few months of life. Our family then welcomed Tate into our home, hoping to provide her with the forever family she deserved.Tate is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic young dog who loves being around people. She is full of personality, enjoys playtime, and brings a lot of joy and excitement wherever she goes. She also lives with another rescue dog and has been a cherished part of our family. We have worked hard to make our home Tate's forever home, but after much thought and consideration, we've come to the difficult conclusion that we are not able to give her the time, attention, and activity level she truly deserves. This decision comes entirely from wanting what's best for Tate and ensuring she has every opportunity to thrive. We are committed to finding Tate a loving home. We will cover $500 of start up costs.

Story
Meet Lucy, a petite 15-lb. sweetheart with impeccable manners and a heart full of love. At 8 years old, this charming little lady has been an absolute joy in her foster home. From the moment she arrived, Lucy got along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and ages. She's especially patient with playful pups, happy to join in, but confident enough to set gentle boundaries when she's had enough. Lucy has earned the nickname "Miss Manners" for good reason. She is reliably house-trained, respectful of her space (no chewing, trash diving, or counter surfing), and a calm, easy companion. She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and behaves like a pro at the vet where staff couldn't stop calling her "a very sweet little dog." Lucy does have some mild mobility quirks due to shoulder hyperlaxity and hip arthritis, which give her a slightly "wonky" walk—but don't let that fool you. She gets around just fine, handles stairs with ease, and even enjoys hopping up on the couch or bed. She prefers a brisk stroll over a run and would love a fenced yard to explore (and maybe keep an eye on those pesky squirrels). Alert and devoted, Lucy makes a great little watchdog with a surprisingly deep bark, though she settles quickly when asked. She may do best in a home where someone is around often, as she can feel anxious when left alone. A retired or work-from-home adopter—or a calm canine companion—would suit her well. At night, she sleeps quietly in her crate but would be happiest snuggled close to her person. If you're looking for a loving, well-mannered companion who gives the sweetest hugs, Lucy is ready to meet you.  If you are interested in adopting this dog, PLEASE READ THE DETAILED ADOPTION PROCESS information on our website at www. Story
Buzz is a 3-year-old, 25-lb purebred rat terrier looking for a quiet home where he can relax and thrive. He's an affectionate, playful guy who loves fetch, frisbees, walks, chew toys, and sneaking the occasional snack. Buzz is house-trained, crate-trained, walks nicely on leash, and gets along well with cats. Buzz can be wary of strangers and is very protective of his home and family. The busy activity and frequent visitors at his current home have proven overwhelming for him, so his family believes he would be happiest in a calm, stable home with a predictable routine and fewer visitors coming and going. Buzz would do best in an adult-only home or one with older, dog-savvy children. He may be cautious when meeting new people and appreciates a little time and space to get comfortable. Once he has the opportunity to settle in, his sweet, loyal personality begins to shine through (and a few tasty treats can certainly help speed up the process)! Buzz has lived with other dogs and attended dog-friendly events. He may do well with a calm, easygoing female dog but would likely prefer not to share his home with another assertive male. He enjoys canine companionship when the match is right and would benefit from thoughtful introductions. With the people he trusts, Buzz is affectionate, fun-loving, and devoted. Whether he's chasing a frisbee, joining you for a walk, or curling up at the end of the day, he's happiest being close to his favorite people. If you're looking for a loyal companion and can provide the calm environment he needs, Buzz may be your perfect match. Story
This little 10 lb., 9-month-old cutie is a true testament to resilience. Mika and her two sisters were left in a drop box at a New Mexico animal shelter before a kind long-distance trucker transported them cross-country to the safety of New Rattitude. While her first six months left her frightened and wary of people (likely due to lack of socialization), day by day, Mika is letting her bravery shine! Mika's incredible transformation—from a terrified rescue to a happy, confident puppy—is beautifully documented in her photo album here:  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/mika   Mika is actively learning to trust and love! She now eagerly initiates touch and play with all three members of her foster family. While she isn't quite ready to be picked up yet, she happily accepts full-body pets. She is also making fantastic strides with house-training; while she used to rely entirely on potty pads out of fear, she now loves going outside and rarely has a daily accident. The crate is still slightly suspicious to her, but she eats meals in the crate and sometimes voluntarily chooses to spend some time relaxing there. At night, she chooses to sleep in a dog bed in a room by herself but she is overjoyed to see her human and canine friends in the morning! Because Mika is still building her confidence and learning how to be a regular dog, she needs a specific environment to help her thrive: A securely fenced yard: Leash training is still a work in progress, so a secure yard is required for her to safely run, play, and do her business. A confident canine guide: Mika requires a home with at least one other small, confident dog who can model good behavior and be a fun playmate. An adult-focused home: Due to her startle reflex, a home without small children (and their quick, unpredictable movements) is best. Patience and love: An understanding family who views training challenges as bonding opportunities. With every small victory, you'll know exactly what a profound difference you're making in Mika's life. Your heart will burst with pride the first time she looks to you for reassurance and conquers a fear. If you are ready for the deeply rewarding journey of unlocking this sweet girl's full potential, Mika is ready to become your loyal best friend!
