Milo was previously listed and found a home but his adopter needed to back out unexpectedly. Milo is 4 years old and good with dogs, cats and kids. He loves to give attention and snuggle in your lap. Milo has a touch of anxiety when meeting new people but he is very loyal and loving. Milo would need to go to his new home this week if possible. Milo comes with a fresh batch of shots too. Thank you!

Story
Matilda...😢 Poor girl has a sad story. She was a stray for an unknown time. No one could catch her, so she just was left to her own means. We believe she was on her own for months on end, basically growing up in the wilderness. She was finally caught by animal control. It was quickly apparent that she was an extremely shut down dog, just a baby around 9 months old. We have had her in the rescue for several months now. She has made little improvement. Shes rather damaged to the point of feral. 🙏🏻 We are looking for that MIRACLE for her, we know they exist. We believe she could learn how to be a dog in the right setting. When alone, you can often catch her playing with toys and romping around. She is just so fearful of humans. If you think you could be her saving grace please apply for adoption or even to foster - www.Canineliberationleague.com Canineliberationleague@gmail.com We believe Matilda to be a Rat Terrier, she weighs 20-25lbs, just over a year old. She will need a VERY

Story
This little 10 lb., 9-month-old cutie is a true testament to resilience. Mika and her two sisters were left in a drop box at a New Mexico animal shelter before a kind long-distance trucker transported them cross-country to the safety of New Rattitude. While her first six months left her frightened and wary of people (likely due to lack of socialization), day by day, Mika is letting her bravery shine! Mika's incredible transformation—from a terrified rescue to a happy, confident puppy—is beautifully documented in her photo album here:  https://imageevent.com/newrattitude/mika   Mika is actively learning to trust and love! She now eagerly initiates touch and play with all three members of her foster family. While she isn't quite ready to be picked up yet, she happily accepts full-body pets. She is also making fantastic strides with house-training; while she used to rely entirely on potty pads out of fear, she now loves going outside and rarely has a daily accident. The crate is still slightly suspicious to her, but she eats meals in the crate and sometimes voluntarily chooses to spend some time relaxing there. At night, she chooses to sleep in a dog bed in a room by herself but she is overjoyed to see her human and canine friends in the morning! Because Mika is still building her confidence and learning how to be a regular dog, she needs a specific environment to help her thrive: A securely fenced yard: Leash training is still a work in progress, so a secure yard is required for her to safely run, play, and do her business. A confident canine guide: Mika requires a home with at least one other small, confident dog who can model good behavior and be a fun playmate. An adult-focused home: Due to her startle reflex, a home without small children (and their quick, unpredictable movements) is best. Patience and love: An understanding family who views training challenges as bonding opportunities. With every small victory, you'll know exactly what a profound difference you're making in Mika's life. Your heart will burst with pride the first time she looks to you for reassurance and conquers a fear. If you are ready for the deeply rewarding journey of unlocking this sweet girl's full potential, Mika is ready to become your loyal best friend! Story
Meet Cleo! FOSTER UPDATES COMING SOON! This pint-sized princess is a three-month-old rat terrier mix who is nine pounds of spunky sassiness! She arrived at GLDR with her brother Caesar and they are the cutest siblings around! Cleo is currently enjoying life with a fabulous foster family. She and Caesar are loving every moment together! They get along wonderfully with the other dog in the house and just can't contain their excitement when it comes to playtime. These two are always on the move and are so much fun to hang with. As they are still young pups, they will benefit from continued training, lots of daily exercise, and endless toys in their new home. Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment and she will repay your for your kindness for years to come. Based on our evaluation, we feel Cleo would do best in a very active home with adults or families with kids of all ages. She may have the ability to live in a home with other animals and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you think Cleo is the pup for you, don't wait! Head to greatlakesdogrescue.com today and submit your application for this bubbly baby!
