Story
Katrina (Kat) | 4 years old | 35 lbs | Very sweet | GTA Katrina is sweet as pie and easy like Sunday morning. She's gentle and loving, low to medium energy, housetrained, and shows no signs of separation anxiety or resource guarding. She lived in a home with many cats and dogs, so she is generally quite chill around other animals, though she prefers the company of calm animals who won't get in her face. She'd be happy as the only dog in the home or with a compatible, calm cat or dog. She has a low prey drive . Katrina loves to go for walks, do zoomies in the backyard and get scratched around her ears and neck. She's an expert cuddler but also happy to just chill nearby. She's a very easy dog to have around, and has a very balanced and calm temperament. Katrina would fit in so easily with a loving new family. She catches onto routines quickly, loves to tuck in for a sleep on her dog bed, and enjoys walks and outdoor times. She's a quiet gal so who is best suited to an adult home, or home that includes older children. If you can offer Kat soft places to rest, chill walks, lots of scritches and snugs, and a home and family to call her own, then please apply at the link: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application

Story
Meet Rags – small in size, but big in personality! This spirited little guy was rescued from a high-kill shelter and is now on the lookout for an active family that can keep up with his energy and give him plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Rags is a loving and playful companion with his favorite people, and he absolutely thrives on affection and attention – he’ll even jump up for some extra love! Rags is an incredibly smart and eager learner, but he does require an experienced owner who can continue his training and help manage his resource guarding tendencies. Due to this, Rags would do best in an adult-only home where his family can work closely with our trainers to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home. While Rags generally gets along with dogs, his guarding behavior can make him unpredictable around other animals, so he would be happiest as the only pet in the household. This little guy is a big fan of long walks on sunny days and running around in the yard. He’s treat-motivated and loves learning new tricks with a clicker. If you’re an experienced dog owner who can offer Rags the structure and care he needs, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly loyal and loving companion!

Fostered in St Catharines Apply to adopt at rebeldogrescue.com*All adoptions with Rebel Dog Rescue have a 15 day probation period. Read about our adoption process on our website. Meet Queso! Once a stray, he now enjoys all the comforts of being an adored pup in his foster home. He likes to be close to people, would be great as a travel dog or ride along friend. Queso would enjoy a dog friend to be cuddle and play friends with, but its not required. He would do well with a family or single person - with or without children who are over 8 and respectful/understanding of a nervous small dog who can 'get under your feet'.Queso is very food motivated and will go so far as to drink your morning coffee if you leave it unattended. He is building his confidence and will seek out affection and has been learning 'how to dog' from his furry foster friends. He has learned a lot in his foster home and we believe he will successfully adjust in almost any environment with a little patience... and lots of blankets!Foster UpdateQueso is gaining confidence and has warmed up to strangers quickly and loves other dogs. Story
"MISTY" is a KOKONI/JACK RUSSELL MIX about 2 years old and weighs approx. 6 kg or 12 pounds. Anastasia found her while going to the market, just walking on the side of a highly trafficked road, right by the exit to the highway. She immediately picked her up - thanking the Heavens the little dog didn’t follow the way leading to the big artery. After a brief visit with our vet for all the proper exams and a clean health bill she brought her to our sanctuary, where jolly "MISTY" fit right in with all our guests. "MISTY" proved very social with animals (dogs and cats) and people. She is inquisitive, playful and fearless. She loves to play with our puppies and then come to the volunteers for her share of pets and cuddles. "MISTY" is very intelligent and quite food oriented, a combination that makes her easily trainable. We have fully vetted, vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed "MISTY" all the while making sure she gets housebroken and leash trained. "MISTY" would be happy in any sort of family setting. If interested in adopting our clever girl "MISTY" please visit our website to fill out an application at; www.straypawsfromgreece.com Please also SHARE this posting to help us find her a forever family and home

Story
Yeontan Breed: Terrier mix Age: 3 years old Gender: Neutered male Color: Black Weight: 6.1 kg (13.5 lbs) Height: 42 cm (shoulder height)   About Yeontan   Yeontan is a sweet and affectionate 3-year-old Terrier mix with a gentle, people-loving personality. He enjoys human attention and loves being close to his people. If you show him interest, he will happily return it with even more affection — rubbing against you, asking for pets, and showing his belly once he feels comfortable.   He tends to prefer women slightly more than men, but he is friendly with strangers and allows handling easily. He can be picked up and held in your arms, and he truly enjoys being cuddled by people he trusts   Personality & Temperament • Good with people: Yes (very friendly) • Good with kids: Unknown (has not met children under 13, but expected to do well) • Good with dogs: Selective • Good with cats: Unknown (can be tested) • Energy level: Low to medium   Yeontan is not a “party dog” who plays with everyone. He prefers a small circle of dog friends and enjoys calm, gentle dogs who are similar in size or have a softer personality. He does not like large or very high-energy dogs and may avoid them.   Daily Life & Training   Yeontan walks nicely on leash without pulling. He follows his handler well and enjoys calm outdoor time rather than intense activity   He currently does outdoor potty only and is well-mannered in a kennel. He does not show signs of separation anxiety or excessive barking.   Other Behaviours • No food guarding with people or dogs • May guard toys slightly from other dogs • Will bark at dogs who play too roughly with him • Not aggressive, just communicates boundaries • Nervous about getting into cars (needs to be carried in), but once inside, he rides well with no motion sickness   Ideal Home   Yeontan would do best in a calm home with gentle, patient adopters who enjoy companionship more than intense activity. A home with no dogs or with one small, calm dog would be ideal. He would thrive with someone who enjoys cuddling, relaxed walks, and spending quality time together   Rescue Story   Yeontan entered a high-kill shelter in November 2025 and was scheduled for euthanasia. At the time he was found wearing a white collar, which suggests he once had an owner but was likely abandoned. He was rescued in early December and brought to the AKR Center, where he has been safe and cared for ever since Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org  Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Story
Under AKR Custody Review (Adoption temporarily on hold pending resolution of foster situation) Currently in Vancouver!!! Name: Mongmong Age: 4 years old Sex: Neutered Male Breed: JRT (Jack Russell Terrier) Mix Color: Black, tan, and white Weight: 9.5 kg (20.9 lbs) Height (at shoulder): 32 cm (12.6 inches)   Mongmong is a sweet and affectionate pup who loves people — whether you’re a familiar friend or someone he’s just met, he’ll happily come over for pets and attention. He’s especially gentle with young children and is comfortable being picked up with arms under his belly. Once he warms up, he’ll even show you his belly! He’s curious about other dogs and will approach them to say hello, though he doesn’t typically engage in play. Gentle with cats, not much interest in them. Mongmong has a moderate energy level and enjoys outdoor activities like walks, but settles down calmly afterward. He’s well-behaved on leash, doesn’t pull, and follows his human companion nicely. He is not food aggressive and remains calm in a kennel or during car rides. Mongmong was found injured, likely from a car accident, and was at risk of euthanasia at a municipal shelter. After being rescued, Mongmong had one eye removed due to phthisis bulbi, a condition that caused his eye to shrink and lose function and had hernia surgery on 25.05.01-but he’s recovered beautifully and is now ready for a fresh start Mongmong is a brave little survivor with a heart full of love. He’s looking for a forever home where he can feel safe, cherished, and loved — could that be with you?
