Story
Rags may be little but he sure is mighty! This feisty little guy was rescued from a high kill shelter. He is looking for an active family that can give him lots of daily exercise and training. With his favourite people he will jump us for some pets and love. However, Rags is looking for an experienced home that will continue his training and management with resource guarding. Rags can bite when guarding food or objects. Due to this he will need an adult-only family who can work with our trainers to provide a smooth transition to his forever home. Although Rags is generally good with dogs he can be unpredictable with guarding around animals, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. His favourite things include going for long walks on sunny days, and running around in the yard. He is treat motivated and loves to learn new things with a clicker.

These pups are in Toronto, Ontario too!

Story
Mila is a 2 year old terrier/hound mix (likely JRT & Beagle) weighing approx 27 lbs. She loves her humans very much and is very playful and affectionate with them. Mila did not start her life off in a bad way but she did miss out on training, boundaries and socialization. For this reason, Mila has spent time with a professional trainer who has fallen in love with her. Unfortunately, there are limits to the number of dogs a person can have! She loves the outdoors and play time! She’s a very active girl and would do great with a dominant larger dog, she can be too rambunctious for a small dog. Mila is an excellent girl at home when you have to go out, just make sure you have the perfect window for her to neighborhood watch from! She is obviously a high energy girl but likes nothing more than to be tucked in beside her person on the couch!! She gives great hugs and kisses!! Mila will require an experienced owner and home without children under the age of 7. She loves kids but is still learning boundaries. Her adopter will be able to take advantage of some professional advise from her trainer in order to keep Mila improving. Training consistency will be key to keeping Mila on track with her progression. Mila is currently being fostered in Newmarket, ON. Story
"MISTY" is a KOKONI/JACK RUSSELL MIX about 2 years old and weighs approx. 6 kg or 12 pounds. Anastasia found her while going to the market, just walking on the side of a highly trafficked road, right by the exit to the highway. She immediately picked her up - thanking the Heavens the little dog didn’t follow the way leading to the big artery. After a brief visit with our vet for all the proper exams and a clean health bill she brought her to our sanctuary, where jolly "MISTY" fit right in with all our guests. "MISTY" proved very social with animals (dogs and cats) and people. She is inquisitive, playful and fearless. She loves to play with our puppies and then come to the volunteers for her share of pets and cuddles. "MISTY" is very intelligent and quite food oriented, a combination that makes her easily trainable. We have fully vetted, vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed "MISTY" all the while making sure she gets housebroken and leash trained. "MISTY" would be happy in any sort of family setting. If interested in adopting our clever girl "MISTY" please visit our website to fill out an application at; www.straypawsfromgreece.com Please also SHARE this posting to help us find her a forever family and home

Story
Meet Pluto, a 4-year-old neutered male Jack Russell Terrier with a charming brown and white coat. This little guy was rescued from a shelter in Wanju after being found wandering near an apartment complex. Despite his rough start, Pluto’s love for people has never wavered. A dedicated volunteer couldn’t bear to see such an affectionate pup tethered to a short chain in the shelter, so they stepped in to help him find a better future. Pluto is a social butterfly who adores people—whether they’re familiar faces or total strangers. He happily leans in for pets, rolls over for belly rubs, and melts at any sign of affection. He’s comfortable with both men and women and can even be picked up with ease. When meeting children under 13, he’s been friendly and playful, though he does have a habit of guarding his personal space, such as a kennel or crate. Because of this, a home with very young children may not be the best fit. Otherwise, he’s a fantastic companion with no major concerns in human interactions. His love for socializing extends to other dogs as well. He eagerly approaches both familiar and unfamiliar pups, especially those of similar or larger size, and invites them to play. While he doesn’t start conflicts, he does have a bit of a jealous streak—if another dog tries to get attention from his favorite humans, he’ll let out a little “yip-yip” to shoo them away. He hasn’t been in any fights, but introductions with new dogs should be done with care, as he may react if provoked. When it comes to cats, Pluto is curious but not fixated. He’ll glance at them during walks but will follow his human’s lead without much fuss. Energy-wise, he strikes a great balance—he enjoys outdoor adventures but knows how to relax afterward. His leash manners are excellent, and he walks nicely without pulling. He does love to mark, so expect plenty of sniffing and leg-lifting on walks! Pluto has no issues with food guarding, whether around humans or other dogs, but he does show some protectiveness over his personal space. If he’s inside his crate or kennel, he may growl to let others know it’s his spot, so that should be respected. He doesn’t suffer from separation anxiety, though he will bark when left alone in confinement. When placed in a kennel, he may bark briefly before settling down. One of Pluto’s favorite things in the world? Car rides! He’s always eager to hop in, though his short legs mean he often needs a little boost. He enjoys watching the world go by from the backseat—but be warned, he’s clever enough to roll down the windows himself, so safety precautions are a must! Pluto is fully outdoor potty trained, but in new environments, he tends to mark indoors. Using a diaper at first can help manage this, as he won’t mark while wearing one. If you’re looking for a friendly, adventurous, and affectionate pup who’s ready to ride shotgun on all your adventures, Pluto might just be your perfect match!
