Story
Hi there. My name is Suzi and here is a little info about me: Breed: Jack Russell and French Bulldog Mix Age: 1-year-old Gender: Female Weight: 11 kg Size: Small Height: 40 RESCUE STORY Suzi once had a family. Don’t let our word choice mislead you. A real family is always there for you and never chooses to leave you behind when they feel overwhelmed, like Suzi’s so- called family did. She was abandoned in a municipality shelter and had to stay there for more than 1 month. When we visited the shelter to see how the dogs were doing, we could not leave her as she asked for help with her eyes. We placed her in a foster home. She is very affectionate and never gets bored while you are petting her. Character: ● Calm ● Love to be petted ● Human-oriented ● Clever ● Affectionate ● Eager to learn ● Easy to train. ● Jumpy ● Adapts to change with minimal problems ● Can stay alone for long hours ● Obedient Energy Level: Medium Prey drive: None Fears: None observed. I get along with: Dogs: All dogs but still need observation as she is a bit jealous Cats: All cats Kids: All children Training: She knows how to walk with a leash and has potty training but needs training for a crate. She also responds to several commands such as sit, come and wait. House trained: Yes Health notes: Neutered, vaccinated (Rabies and Combination) and microchipped.

🐾 SEAMUS 🐾 Male / neutered / 12 weeks old Hi everyone! I’m so happy you’ve taken the time to read about me 🙂 I’m probably a (shaggy-haired) Terrier mix but I don’t know for sure. All I do know is I need a forever home where I can grow up safely & happily! I am a typical puppy, I love naps & playing - I am a little shy around other dogs at first but with time I can get comfortable and start playing too - I am healthy - and yes I’m already neutered - that’s how they do things at the high-kill shelter I was at in San Antonio, TX! The nice folks in Canada at DFBH asked to get us out of the shelter just 10 mins before me and my 7 siblings were going to be killed! If you think you can give me a lot of love & care then please apply for me now, I can’t wait to meet you! Story
Currently in Texas and can come to Ancaster Ontario on the next Transport, Saturday April 8th. Kit is apx 2 years old and ten pounds. She is an odd duck. She came to us completely feral and heart worm positive. She has now completed treatment with no complications. She will need to be tested again in 6 months and kept on heart worm prevention the entire year and not just the warm season. Kit is a jack Russell mix. She has a lot of energy and is like a pogo stick. She loves to play with other dogs, but can be a little on dominant side. I think this is mostly because she does have a lot of energy and always wants to play and sometimes the other dogs get tired of her. She needs to be with dogs that are very playful and have patience for her antics. She wants to eat the cat so NO cats. Kit has zero aggression but may not do best with toddlers because she jumps a lot and is very darty. She would run for it if she got out of a gate or door. Older children would be fine. Kit still likes to play chase and does not like to come inside when we ask her to or come to us when we call her so she will also need to learn recall and basically all standard puppy manners. She desperately needs some basic training, but I know she has it in her to be a great dog. She will finally give up on the game of chase and let us pick her up. She does not love to be cuddled and held for long, before wanting to be back playing with her dog friends and toys. She is very outdoorsy and would probably make a great walking/running companion. She is not loud or destructive. She really does embody quite a bit of what a jack Russell terrier characteristics would be, so please research the breed before committing to her. She is incredibly smart and catches on to new things in a new routine very quickly. Unfortunately here at the ranch having 60 dogs to take care of we are not able to give her the one-on-one attention she needs, but I do think with some basic training and time she can be a really great and well mannered dog.

Hello! My name is Beau!I'm a sweet old man, but you wouldn't know it because I still have lots of pep in my step! I enjoy walking and sniffing all the cool smells along the way. I'm a friendly boy and just looking for a cozy home where I can relax and kick my feet up with my human.MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: Older and respectful children may be ok. I've never lived with kids before and am a senior so would prefer a calmer home.OTHER DOGS: Preferably not, I have never lived with another dog before and have always had my human to myself. When I have been around dogs I've been indifferent and not interested in a dog friend.CATS: Yes, I have lived with a cat before.FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Yes.FENCED-IN YARD: Not necessarily. If you do have a yard, make sure it's secure at the bottom as I have dug under fences before - true to my terrier nature.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any, I could do well in most dwellings where potential barking won't be a problem. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Ideally, I'm used to having someone with me most of the day and may bark or whine when alone. SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: LowI'M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: NoHOUSE-TRAINED: YesIf you think I could be a good match for your home, click the "adopt me" button to apply!

Story
Rory | 5 years old |Terrier mix | 55lb - could afford to lose a few | Great with cats | Healthy | Rory's adopter has unfortunately developed health issues and isn't able to care for a dog anymore. He therefore needs a new home. Rory came to us as a pup, and has been living very happily in a house with two cats, where he is much loved by his human and the cats. He enjoys getting out for walks or running in the yard. A home with a fenced yard would suit him best. Rory is a very loving companion who would be happy as the only dog in the house. He could join other dogs, after an introduction. He is a very smart dog that learns quickly. If you wish to adopt Rory, please apply at: https://form.jotform.com/pawsacrossthewater/adoption-application
