Story
Why you will love him... The Athlete: Ciabatta has plenty of energy and loves to run. Whether it’s a long walk, a jog, or just zooming around a big backyard, he is always up for an adventure. The Snuggle Bug: Once his energy is out, he’s a total softie. He is a world-class cuddler who loves to lean in for pets and snooze right next to his favorite humans on the couch. Great with Kids: Ciabatta is a sweetheart with children. He is patient, gentle, and thrives on the love and attention of a family. Ciabatta is a 10 year old Rat Terrier Mix looking for a new home due to no fault of his own. He had a run in with a wire fence that got wrapped around his nose  earlier in life and has left a small scar. He is sweet as they come. He just wants to sit in your LAP and cuddle. Apply online if interested in meeting Ciabatta: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane SocietyWe do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. Story
This adorable little girl is just over a year old and weighs about 12.5 pounds. She’s fully vetted, heartworm negative, microchipped, and making great progress with her potty training. Her adoption fee is only $25! She came from a hoarding situation where dogs were kept in crates in a small apartment, so crates aren’t her favorite place to be. But, it sometimes can be her safety place. Understandably, she’s still a bit nervous and learning to trust. Sometimes she’s too scared to be caught, but with patience, gentleness, and time, she’ll come around and show her true loving nature. Because of her background, she’s not a good fit for apartment living—she’ll need a secure backyard where she can safely explore and feel comfortable. She does best with dogs her size or larger, and would thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to let her open up at her own pace. She’s not an “instant dog”—she’ll need time to trust and adjust—but once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the safe, loving home she deserves? Complete your application today at https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
Indy is a small terrier breed dog, he currently weighs 15 lbs and he just turned 9 months old. He is sweet, affectionate, super playful and high-energy! His favorite game is playing catch! He is always in play mode which seems to annoy my cats and my female Chihuahua. He has shown signs of territorial behavior with my Chihuahua, which I am working on and have seen improvement over the past few weeks. I think he would be great with small children and other dogs his size.
