Story
This adorable little girl is just over a year old and weighs about 12.5 pounds. She’s fully vetted, heartworm negative, microchipped, and making great progress with her potty training. Her adoption fee is only $25! She came from a hoarding situation where dogs were kept in crates in a small apartment, so crates aren’t her favorite place to be. But, it sometimes can be her safety place. Understandably, she’s still a bit nervous and learning to trust. Sometimes she’s too scared to be caught, but with patience, gentleness, and time, she’ll come around and show her true loving nature. Because of her background, she’s not a good fit for apartment living—she’ll need a secure backyard where she can safely explore and feel comfortable. She does best with dogs her size or larger, and would thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s willing to let her open up at her own pace. She’s not an “instant dog”—she’ll need time to trust and adjust—but once she feels safe, she’ll reward you with a lifetime of love and loyalty. Could you be the one to give this sweet girl the safe, loving home she deserves? Complete your application today at https://chloespetrescue.org/application

Story
2 years old and full of energy. She is left alone when I am at work and I do not play with her much. She sleeps in the bed with me. Shy, affectionate and smart. Not housebroken. I did not want another dog, but my late wife insisted. But now I've grown attached, love her dearly, and giving her up will be hard (I've been down ever since I decided to do it). But it is not fair to her. I do not play with her. She needs to be in a house with people who will give her attention. Do not leave food or lip balm unattended as she is a very bold thief :)

Story
Meet Ruby – the Sweet and Serene Rat Terrier mix. Ruby is an 8-year-old rat terrier with a heart full of love and a calm spirit. She spent her entire life in a quiet, loving home until her beloved daddy was placed into long-term care for Alzheimer’s. Now, she’s looking for a new family to share her gentle soul with. Ruby is a quiet and sweet girl who enjoys leisurely walks and exploring her surroundings at her own pace. She walks beautifully on a leash and is perfectly content lounging nearby or finding a sunny spot to nap. Having come from a peaceful home, Ruby would thrive in a similar environment—one where she can feel safe, loved, and unhurried. She is fine with children and other dogs, though she’s not one to join in the chaos—she prefers doing her own thing and being a quiet observer. If you’re looking for a calm, easygoing companion with lots of love to give, Ruby may be your perfect match. Let’s give this lovely girl the soft landing she deserves. Story
Opalite is one of the pups from our Swifties group. She is a two year old, 9 lb Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix. She and nine other small dogs were dumped on a country road in East Texas, and Humane Tomorrow took them all into our adoption program. Foster mom says that Opalite is very sweet but still unsure of this big world. She is ok with other small dogs, especially those about her size, as long as they are more settled. She does not play with other dogs or toys yet and her favorite spot is in your lap. She is a little anxious in a busy household. Not sure how she would do around young children, so best for older kids and above. Adopters will need to give her a few days to settle in and feel safe, then she will be the best lap dog ever. She has now been fully vetted and ready for adoption. If you would like to give Opalite a forever home that really does last forever, please submit your application, and an adoption counselor will contact you.

Story
Meet Addie! The pint-sized cutie with the perkiest ears in town! This adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix is 1½ years old, weighs just 16 pounds, and sports the prettiest tan-and-white coat you’ve ever seen. Her life got off to a rocky start when her previous elderly owner could no longer care for her, but those days are behind her now. In foster care, she’s learning all the best things about being a dog—soft beds, warm homes, gentle cuddles, and quality couch time. She’s blossoming more every day! She’s a friendly girl who gets along well with other dogs and even cats. She walks nicely on a leash, is crate trained, and house trained—pretty impressive for such a young pup! While she enjoys leisurely walks in nice weather, her true passion is snuggling up with her favorite humans and soaking up all the love. She’s hoping to find a calmer forever home where she can relax, feel secure, and be your loyal little shadow and best friend. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her adoption donation is $275. Think she might be your perfect match? Apply to meet her at legacyhumanesociety.org, and her foster mom will be in touch! We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application. Story
Ciabatta was purchased from a breeder as a puppy and is now being re-homed by his family through no fault of his own. He is 10 years old and 23 lbs. Ciabatta is neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He is house trained and does well with children and other dogs.  Ciabatta is a vibrant, happy-go-lucky guy who believes life is best lived at two speeds: full-throttle and maximum-cuddle. He is the perfect "all-terrain" companion, ready to join you for a run in the morning and a movie marathon in the evening. Why You’ll Love Him The Athlete: Ciabatta has plenty of energy and loves to run. Whether it’s a long walk, a jog, or just zooming around a big backyard, he is always up for an adventure. The Snuggle Bug: Once his energy is out, he’s a total softie. He is a world-class cuddler who loves to lean in for pets and snooze right next to his favorite humans on the couch. Great with Kids: Ciabatta is a sweetheart with children. He is patient, gentle, and thrives on the love and attention of a family. Apply online if interested in meeting Ciabatta: Adoption Application - Legacy Humane Society We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program.
