Story
Danica is a small little Toy Fox Terrier with a tender heart and a deep desire to feel safe again. This 2 year old girl who weighs just 9 pounds, was found running scared and lost through a rough neighborhood in rural Tennessee and when no one came forward to claim her, it became clear she was meant to start a new chapter—one where security and love are a given, not a question.    She is the definition of a Velcro baby. Danica wants to be right beside her person, soaking up every moment of closeness she can get. Your lap, your side, the spot right at your feet—that’s where she’s happiest. She does well with cats and seems comfortable around other dogs, but her true favorite will always be her human. Danica is incredibly sweet, a little clingy, and completely honest about her need for reassurance. After the trauma of being lost and the abandonment she’s experienced, who could blame her? She is fully potty trained and thrives when she can form a strong bond with someone who enjoys snuggles, quiet companionship, and being deeply loved. If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will choose you every single time, Danica is ready to give her whole heart to the person who gives her a safe place to land.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   Let us know where you live, city and state.  This girl is going to make someone so very happy and loved.       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 30, 2026, 7:07 pm

Story
Buddy Holly is an older gentleman coming in at 7 years. He is a jack russell terrier mix that was part of a recent transfer of a few other JRT`s from a hoarding situation. Buddy seems fairly social even walks well on a leash and seems to do well with other dogs. Due to Buddy`s history we are asking for children to be 6+ and any resident canines to come for a meet and greet. Buddy will need a dental prior to adoption and this will be covered under our Grey Muzzle grant! If you would like to meet with Buddy or have more questions please speak with kennel staff and they will be happy to help.

Story
****As you may have heard the VBSPCA took in 6 dogs from a hoarding situation in TN. Please keep in mind that these canines will require time and patience as they settle into their new home. Staff may require multiple visits to make sure this is a good match for you and for the rescued canine. All of the dogs transferred will be seen by vet and medical needs addressed and surgeries scheduled as needed. We have a handout that will go over common concerns with under socialized dogs from cases like this. We ask that any applicants please be prepared that dogs from hoarding cases often are very fearful, difficult to housebreak, and may take longer to acclimate into canine companion life though the reward will always outweigh any struggles! *****Feisty came to us from our friends at Bissell after having lived his life with 200 other dogs. This sweet but shy man is looking for a fresh start here at the beach! Feisty will need children 16+ as he is very scared of loud noises and fast movements. He needs a canine friend in his future home and would need to meet them prior to adoption. Due to Feisty`s fearful and shy nature he is prone to attempting to escaping so we do ask that at the time of adoption his family bring a crate to safely transport her home. Our amazing kennel team can fill you in on the up to date medical needs for Feisty. If you would like to visit or have further questions please speak with our kennel staff!

Story
Meet Maggie May! This 2 year old jack russell mix was a recent transfer from another facility after being rescued from a hoarding situation with other jack russell mixes. Maggie has been very sweet and loving since arrival and we know she would make a great addition to your family. Since Maggie has never lived with or been around children we are asking for children 6 and up in her future home. Maggie will need to meet any resident dogs prior to adoption. It will be important her future family help her with crate training, housebreaking, and general socialization so she can be a successful pup. If you have further questions or would like to visit with Maggie please speak with our kennel team who will be happy to assist.
