02/22/26 10:22 MHMeet this big, bouncy 9-month-old pup who’s still very much a baby at heart!??Tall for her age and full of youthful energy, she’s an enthusiastic, playful girl who is still learning her manners. She can be a little unsure at first — sometimes backing away from the leash loop or hanging toward the back of her kennel — but she warms up quickly and comes forward once she knows it’s time to head out.Outside, her personality really shines. She loves zooming around the yard and gets especially excited when she has space to run. With excitement can come some jumpiness and mouthiness (typical puppy behavior), and she’s still working on bite inhibition. When she gets overstimulated, she may forget her manners, but she responds well to interruption and redirection — especially if treats are involved!A few highlights about her:Knows “sit” and is treat motivatedLoves being pettedVery playful and eager to interactStrong interest in playing with other dogsNot reactive to other dogs in kennel or yardEasy to return to kennel and remove leashShe doesn’t show much interest in toys yet, but she’s highly food motivated, which will be a great tool for training. Because of her jumpy, mouthy puppy energy, she’ll thrive in a home committed to positive reinforcement training, consistency, and plenty of exercise. Backyard space to burn off energy would be a bonus!With guidance, structure, and patience, this sweet, affectionate adolescent will grow into an amazing companion. If you’re ready to help a young dog learn and blossom, she’s ready to meet you!

Meet Cammie 🐾💗 Cammie is a 1-year-old female Hound mix with a gentle soul and the sweetest personality. She and her mom, Dixie, found themselves as strays after wandering into CVS together, talk about an unexpected shopping trip! 🛒🐶 Cammie is very shy at first and needs a little time to feel safe and comfortable. But once she comes around, her true personality shines ✨ She’s a goofy, affectionate girl who just wants love and reassurance. Watching her open up and learn to trust is incredibly rewarding. She has learned to walk on a leash as well now! Cammie is dog friendly 🐕 and would likely do well with cats with slow, proper introductions. She may also do well in a home with calm, respectful older children who understand she may need patience as she settles in. With a little time and a lot of love, Cammie will blossom into the most loyal and loving companion 💕 intake date 11/06/25 came in as a stray. Meet Dixie 🎶🐶 Dixie is a 4-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound, and she is all hound through and through! 👃🐾 One of her favorite things is showing off her signature hound bay 🎵—so be prepared for some classic hound vocals! Dog selective 🐶 Dixie came into the shelter as a stray with her daughter, Cammie 💕. She does well with polite, neutered male dogs 🐕✅ but isn’t a fan of other female dogs, aside from her daughter. Dixie knows what she likes and prefers to keep her circle small. This lovely hound could use some leash manners and basic obedience training 🎓🦴, but she’s a smart girl who will benefit from consistency and patience. A home without cats is recommended 🚫🐱. Dixie would do best with older, respectful children 👧🧒 who understand boundaries. No small, fast-moving kids, please—she prefers a calmer environment. Personality-wise, Dixie is very much a “live and let live” kind of gal 🌿. She doesn’t need to be the center of attention and isn’t a big cuddler, but she’s happy to coexist, do her own thing, and enjoy life at her own pace.
