APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-pet-central-satx/ We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help. DAFNEY is a very sweet 6 mo old female puppy. My breed scanner app on my phone says that she is possibly Redbone Coonhound and Beagle mix. Whatever she is, she’s very sweet and happy. Currently weighing 25#...So, I suspect she will get to be 40#...best guess. She is living in my house (not an outside kennel); is kenneled at night (doesn’t mess in her kennel); we're working on house training; leaves my 4 cats alone; and loves all the dogs she has available to play with…about 10 of them. She will be a definite asset to someone’s home and family. Kids will love her. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention. If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060. You can also go to our Facebook page... https://www.facebook.com/Pet-Central-SATX-866684826744181/ and LIKE us to help us out. After we review your application, we will contact you, and you'll have the opportunity to find out more from the rescue. If you experience any issues filling out the application you can contact us directly at petcentralsatx@gmail.com. This is ONLY if you have problems applying. If you have not applied, you will not receive a response so please only email if you have any issues applying. Adoption Fees The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting. All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog. This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Sweet Baby is a 6-month-old female Redbone Hound mix weighing around 42 pounds. She came to safety as a young pup with her mom and siblings after being rescued from a very difficult situation. Despite her rough start, Sweet Baby has grown into an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl. Sweet Baby is still a nervous pup and will need a patient, understanding adopter, but she is making wonderful progress every day. She plays beautifully with other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from their presence. Sweet Baby will need to be in a home that has another dog to continue to build her confidence. She has done well with cats in her foster home and is already house trained, having had no accidents once she learned her routine. While she’s more confident outdoors than inside, Sweet Baby has recently started joining her people on the couch—a big milestone for this shy girl. With time, consistency, and love, her confidence continues to grow. Sweet Baby will thrive in a calm, supportive home that’s willing to let her warm up at her own pace. In the right environment, she’s going to be a truly wonderful and loyal companion. Sweet Baby is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Slinky is one of 11 hound mixes that rescuers in rural SW Oklahoma saved from a property where they barely had any shelter and fed inconsistently. Several rescues stepped in to take the dogs. I took 3. They are about 9 months old. And despite their horrible start in life all 3 of them have wonderful personalities and are super sweet. They are big, calm and great with other dogs and cats, including kittens. Shy at first but always friendly. They are not high energy and they do not bark or howl like you would expect from a hound. If you want a chill dog that is big, Slinky is your match. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $500 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Duke has spent his entire life waiting for the perfect family to call his own. This handsome senior is good with other dogs and loves the company of older kids (13+), making him a great companion for families with a bit of experience. Duke has a sweet heart and a gentle soul, but like many pups, he has his quirks. He’s working on overcoming some food-guarding tendencies, and with patience and guidance, he’s showing wonderful progress. His ideal home will continue supporting his growth with understanding and love. Despite his challenges, Duke's affectionate nature shines through. He is ready to bond deeply with a family that will give him the second chance he’s been waiting for. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Duke might just be your perfect match!
