I’m a smart boy who has already mastered commands like "sit," "down," "stay," "place," and "heel." I am fully house and crate trained, and I settle beautifully in my crate—my family even says it’s one of my favorite "happy places." I’m a total social butterfly who loves meeting new people, greeting visitors, and being the best lapdog you’ve ever had. I prefer to be your only pet so I can keep all of my love and attention 100% focused on you. I have a classic hound nose and I'm a very expressive fellow who loves to howl and bark when I spot interesting wildlife on our walks. Please ask staff about my medical needs. Vada is currently in RI and is looking for a forever home! Vada is about 3 1/2 years old , 74 pounds, and beautiful! She is timid, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines.  She loves being outside, sniffing around on a quiet walk, or just enjoying some fresh air. Give her a squeaker toy and you’ll see her playful side come to life!  Vada is looking for a family who understands that building trust takes time, but the reward is so worth it. He came to us from a southern shelter so we don`t much about his history, but he has been making lots of friends since he came to us. He has been through a lot of transitions in his short life and can be a little overwhelmed in new situations so he is looking for a family who can help teach him about the world in a safe and fun way. Jack could likely live with another social dog friend who can help show him the ropes.

She is a sensitive soul who can take a bit to settle in and open up, but once she is comfortable, she loves finding a comfortable spot on the couch to cuddle up to her favorite humans or to settle with a kong. Don`t let her age fool you--she still has energy and is accustomed to long, leisurely strolls where she can sniff to her heart`s content. Annie has some medical needs that will require a close relationship with a vet. Annie says no thank you to living with dogs but may potentially be able to live with a very dog-savvy cat after careful introductions.
