Story
Slinky is one of 11 hound mixes that rescuers in rural SW Oklahoma saved from a property where they barely had any shelter and fed inconsistently. Several rescues stepped in to take the dogs. I took 3. They are about 9 months old. And despite their horrible start in life all 3 of them have wonderful personalities and are super sweet. They are big, calm and great with other dogs and cats, including kittens. Shy at first but always friendly. They are not high energy and they do not bark or howl like you would expect from a hound. If you want a chill dog that is big, Slinky is your match. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Story
Clyde is a handsome 7-month-old male Redbone Hound mix (we believe he may have some Mastiff as well) weighing around 70 lbs. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with patience and love, he quickly comes out of his shell. Once comfortable, he turns into a total love bug with the sweetest personality. He enjoys playtime—especially with other dogs—and even in play, his gentle nature really shines through. Clyde does great with people, including children, and loves other dogs. He is also living with cats in his current foster home. Clyde is a kind-hearted, affectionate boy who will make a wonderful addition to a loving and active family. Clyde is neutered, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. Calamity Jane is a beautiful 7-month-old female Redbone Hound mix (with what we believe may be a touch of Mastiff) weighing around 55 lbs. She can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but with love, patience, and gentle reassurance, she quickly warms up. Once she does, she blossoms into a big, lovable puppy with a friendly, affectionate personality. She truly enjoys being around people has been great with the children, other dogs and even cats in her foster home. Calamity Jane is crate trained and working on house training and commands in foster. This sweetheart will make a wonderful companion for an active and loving family. My breed scanner app on my phone says that she is possibly Redbone Coonhound and Beagle mix. Whatever she is, she’s very sweet and happy. Currently weighing 25#...So, I suspect she will get to be 40#...best guess. She is living in my house (not an outside kennel); is kenneled at night (doesn’t mess in her kennel); we're working on house training; leaves my 4 cats alone; and loves all the dogs she has available to play with…about 10 of them. She will be a definite asset to someone’s home and family. Kids will love her. This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.
