Story
Slinky is a large, ~11-month-old hound mix with a calm, easygoing personality and a gentle nature. He’s sweet, friendly, and gets along great with other dogs and cats. While a little shy at first, he warms up quickly and settles into a relaxed, low-key companion. Slinky is the kind of dog who brings a calm presence—he’s not high-energy or demanding, just happy to be part of a stable home. Good fit: someone looking for a big, chill dog who is easy to live with and enjoys a quieter, more relaxed lifestyle. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Story
Clifford the Big Red Dog may be a storybook character, but Cooper Clifford is basically the real-life version. With his gorgeous red coat, piercing hazel eyes, iconic floppy ears, and larger-than-life hound dog charm, he is impossible not to fall in love with. His foster says one of her favorite things about him is simply how incredibly sweet and friendly he is. Cooper loves people, loves affection, and just wants a family to love him right back. Watch his video and fall in love with this gorgeous boy: https://youtu.be/EpIFpHNanGc?si=YwfMHxyO1MUU-AC2 Cooper is approximately 4 years old and currently weighs 91lbs. We believe he may be a Hound mix, but with rescue, breed is always a mystery! What we know for certain is that he is handsome, affectionate, intelligent, and every bit as lovable as he looks. He is dog friendly and has done well with the dogs we have introduced him to. For the most part, Cooper is pretty aloof around other dogs and would rather wander off to smell all the smells than spend the entire time playing. When he does join in, his play sessions are usually short and consist of happily romping alongside his friends instead of physical, rough-and-tumble play. Every once in a while, he will let out that wonderfully deep hound bark when he is feeling especially good and spunky. Cooper also met our house cat, Biggie, and handled the introduction beautifully. He was appropriate and respectful, did not chase, and was not bothered by Biggie jumping around and doing normal cat things. Biggie also felt comfortable around Cooper. We do not know whether Cooper has ever lived with a cat before, and this was our first time observing him with one. If you have a cat at home, we can arrange for Cooper to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! This smart boy is crate trained, potty trained, and has great house manners. Like most hounds, though, Cooper’s talented nose may occasionally lead him directly to whatever leftovers you forgot on the counter. He is also highly treat motivated and can smell a snack from what feels like a mile away. Cooper already knows sit, shake, and down. He even comes when his name is called sometimes, which feels perfectly on brand for a hound boy with important smells to investigate. Cooper is an overall chill dude, but we believe he would be happiest in a home with a backyard rather than an apartment. It is not his energy level that makes apartment living less ideal. It is his impressive hound bark! His foster says he does not really howl, but he absolutely has the bark of a hound, and she thinks it is one of the best things about him. Cooper Clifford is a big, beautiful hound with an even bigger heart. He is ready for a backyard to explore, a family to adore, and a kitchen counter he will politely promise not to investigate. If you have been waiting for a sweet, handsome best friend who will keep you smiling and fill your home with love, Cooper may be the happy ending your story has been missing. We are willing to test Cooper Clifford with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Meet Espresso! ☕ Born on May 22 as one of 12 adorable puppies to a beautiful Redbone Coonhound mix mom, Espresso is a playful, adventurous girl with a personality all her own. Her mom is a 50 pound girl and we feel that daughter Espresso will be as well. At 12 weeks she is barely  12 pounds.   Espresso is affectionate—but on her own terms! She's an independent puppy who enjoys exploring, investigating new places, and figuring things out for herself. While she's confident doing her own thing, she also loves spending time with her sister, Caramel. True to her name, Espresso is always ready to go! Playtime is her favorite time, and she has plenty of energy to burn. She's a bit of a tomboy who enjoys rough-and-tumble puppy play, so any interactions with other pets should be supervised while she continues learning appropriate doggie social skills. Espresso would thrive in a home with a larger, calm, well-socialized dog who can help teach her good play manners and when it's time to take a break.    When it comes to training, food is definitely the way to Espresso's heart! She's highly treat-motivated and eager to learn when snacks are involved. She's already doing well with potty training and understands what 'potty' means when she's outside. She's still learning that her crate is a safe, cozy place and will benefit from continued positive crate training.    Like any growing puppy, Espresso is currently teething and thinks almost everything looks like a chew toy. A puppy-proofed home and plenty of appropriate chew toys will help keep her happy—and your belongings safe!  One thing Espresso has already mastered is riding in the car. She settles in quickly and makes an excellent travel companion for errands or adventures.    Overall, Espresso is a sweet, spirited puppy with a fun-loving personality and an independent streak. With clear boundaries, consistency, patience, and positive training, she's sure to blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. If you're looking for an adventurous best friend who will keep you smiling and make every day a little more exciting, Espresso may be the perfect addition to your family.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comSeptember 11, 2026, 8:47 pm

Story
Meet Twilight Twilight DOB: 3/13/2026 Redbone mix Twilight is a fun-loving, active girl who plays hard and sleeps hard! She’s up and ready to go around 6 AM and happily settles in for the night around 9 PM. She is crate trained and about 90% housebroken. Twilight would do best in an active home with a fenced yard (not mandatory if you can commit to a few walks a day)where she can run and burn off her puppy energy. If she gets bored, she may put her digging skills to work! Twilight absolutely LOVES her fur friends and currently lives with 6 other dogs ranging from 20–50 pounds. She loves playing tag with the pack and chewing on her favorite bones. She is great with kids and enjoys being part of the family. Twilight does have a little stranger danger, so she needs a few minutes to warm up to new people. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet and playful personality shines through. Twilight is ready to bring her big personality, playful energy, and loving heart into a forever home. Could you be the active family she’s been waiting for? If you have a fenced yard, like to jog or go for walks and room in your heart for this sweet girl, take the next step and apply to adopt Twilight today!    August 30, 2026, 7:37 pm

Story
If joy had four legs and floppy ears, her name would be Bindi! This happy, outgoing 2-year-old Redbone Coonhound is bursting with personality and ready to bring laughter, love, and tail wags into her forever home. Bindi found her way to our Connecticut rescue after a foster-to-adopt plan with another rescue sadly fell through. While it wasn’t the ending she deserved, it turned out to be the perfect new beginning — because now Bindi gets a second chance to find the family that truly fits her. And trust us… she’s a catch.  Bindi is sweet, friendly, and social — the kind of dog who makes friends everywhere she goes. She’s wonderful with kids, great with other dogs, and absolutely thrives on attention, playtime, and being part of the action. Whether she’s romping around the yard, going for a sniff-filled walk, or soaking up belly rubs, Bindi does everything with enthusiasm and a big hound smile. As a true Redbone, Bindi loves to explore with her nose, but she’s also incredibly people-oriented and affectionate. She’s playful without being overwhelming, silly without being wild, and loving 100% of the time. A fun-loving hound with a heart of gold. Bindi is looking for a forever home that will embrace her joyful spirit and include her in everyday life — adventures, cuddles, laughter, and all. If your home could use more smiles, more love, and more tail wags, Bindi is ready to move in.
