Story
👗ELLIE👗👛Ellie is a 3.5 year old Redbone coonhound. She weighs 75 pounds and is a very boisterous girl! Ellie is strong when walking on leash when her nose gets the best of her or something excites her. Her idea of greeting you includes running directly at you at full speed and flinging herself into the air as if you are going to re-create the famous lift from Dirty Dancing. She’s not sorry about it either. Once she settles down she gives great hugs and gentle kisses. This one’s eyes will look deep into your soul. LOVES food. 💄Ellie is not cut out for the apartment life - she talks back… a lot. A physical fenced in yard is preferred to keep her safe from her own nose getting her into trouble. Ellie likes other dogs but sometimes Ellie can be too much for the other dog at first. No cats or other small animals. She is fine with kids but again; she is rambunctious and 75 pounds. 👡Ellie is potty trained, working on crate training and rides well in the car. She is very smart and would do well with some obedience training - especially if there is treats involved. 💅🏼Ellie is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative and on heartworm prevention. She will be spayed this week. Ellie is currently being treated for Lyme disease and bacteria in her left ear. If you are interested in adopting Ellie please visit our website at www.pawsofadamscounty.com and submit an adoption application. When applying, please answer each question completely and honestly. Story
Weight: 43Lbs Meet Ruby, the Redbone Hound mix with the mysterious personality of a woodland cryptid and the speed of a dog who absolutely did not sign up for this situation. 🐶 Ruby is a bit of an aloof lady. She does want pets… but on Ruby’s terms, in Ruby’s timing, and preferably while you pretend you’re not trying too hard. Once she decides you’re acceptable, she’ll lean in for some love like nothing ever happened. She’s a sensitive girl and can be nervous, so she’ll need a patient home that understands she’s more of a “slow friendship arc” than a “besties in five minutes” type. Also important to note: Ruby has strong opinions about medication, and those opinions are a firm and passionate NO. If pills are involved… well… good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor. With time, patience, and a gentle touch, Ruby will reward her people with quiet loyalty, soft moments, and the satisfaction of winning over a very particular (and very charming) hound. 🐾❤️ Dogs: Unknown, we recommend a meet and greet! Cats: Unknown Kids: No tiny tots. I'm a shy gal!!

Story
Weight: 21Lbs Meet Quartz, the 4-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix who is all floppy ears, wiggly legs, and classic puppy chaos (the cute kind). 🐶 His nose is always working overtime—sniffing out toys, snacks, and whatever adventure might be happening nearby. Quartz is sweet, silly, and ready to grow up with a family who’s excited for puppy fun, puppy training, and plenty of laughs along the way. 🐾✨ The one thing we all can agree on is that puppies are adorable. They're ready to give you unconditional love and all the snuggles your heart can handle. We really want to make sure that you've thought beyond their undeniable cuteness. Puppies need structure and training. They only know what we teach them. When you adopt from Humane FW, you'll receive two group setting puppy training classes that will teach you basic puppy manners. This will give you and your new best friend a head start on bonding.
