Meet Sleepy & Buddy — Our Very Own “Big Red Dogs!” If you grew up loving **Clifford the Big Red Dog**, we may have the real-life version… **times TWO!**Meet **Sleepy and Buddy**, two handsome **8-month-old Saint Bernard/Coonhound mixes** who are looking for something they’ve never truly had before — **families of their own.**These boys came to us as part of a **humane investigation case**, and their start in life meant they missed out on many of the experiences and lessons most puppies get when they`re little. So while Sleepy and Buddy may look like **BIG 8-month-old dogs**, think of them as **8-week-old puppies in extra-large bodies.** House training? They’re learning.Leash manners? They’re learning.Living in a home? That may be new, too.Knowing what’s expected of them? **That’s where you come in.**They aren`t bad dogs, and they aren`t `too old to learn.` Quite the opposite.**Sleepy and Buddy have a fresh, clean slate and an entirely new start to life.**Their adopters will have the amazing opportunity to teach them all the things they should have learned as little puppies — and introduce them to all the good things they may have missed.Toys. Treats. Walks. Adventures. Comfy beds. Routines. Training. And, most importantly, **what it feels like to belong to someone.**With a **Saint Bernard mom and a Coonhound dad**, these boys aren`t exactly going to be pocket-sized. They are big, goofy puppies with big paws, big personalities and LOTS of growing and learning still ahead of them. **Big dogs. Big paws. Big potential.****Lots to learn and a lifetime ahead to learn it.**Clifford taught us that sometimes **love makes you grow.**Sleepy and Buddy have already done plenty of growing on the outside.**Now they need families who will help them grow on the inside. **Their first chapter wasn`t the one we would have chosen for them. But that chapter is over.Sleepy and Buddy are ready for their BIG RED DOG beginning.**Could you be the person who shows one of them just how good life can be?**Few can resist a puppy. These adorable, soft bundles of energy are similar to four-legged children with tails. And like children, puppies need a lot of time, care, love, and patience. A puppy will depend on you for frequent and regular feedings and walks, for guidance and training, and for much of your time and your love

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Meet Boudreaux the sweetest Southern gentleman you'll ever meet! At 8-9 years old and around 40lbs, Boudreaux has perfected the balance between playful and relaxed. He's a laid-back guy who loves spending time with his people, whether that's lounging by your side or chasing after a tennis ball in a game of fetch. Boudreaux is looking for a new beginning after spending his entire life with the person who raised him from a puppy. Sadly, due to his owner's declining health, they can no longer care for him. This decision was made out of love, and now Boudreaux is hoping to find another family to spend his golden years with. This handsome gentleman has never met a stranger. He absolutely loves people and greets everyone like an old friend. Boudreaux has a calm, laid-back personality, but don't let his age fool you—he still lights up when it's time to play fetch! He also loves cooling off in the water, making him the perfect companion for lake days, backyard kiddie pools, or simply splashing around on a warm afternoon. This sweet boy is also great with other dogs and is fully housebroken, making him an easy addition to just about any home. With his gentle personality, good manners, and loving heart, Boudreaux is ready to spend his life bringing joy, companionship, and plenty of tail wags to a lucky family. If you're looking for a loyal best friend who will happily join you for a game of fetch, a splash in the water, or a relaxing evening at home, Boudreaux is waiting to meet you!
