Story
Meet Ginger 🐾 Ginger is a sweet red-boned hound who was found running loose near Exit 440. Life hasn’t always been kind to her, and she’s still learning that humans can be safe. Right now, she’s very shy and easily scared—but beneath that timid exterior is a tender, loving soul just waiting to bloom. Ginger weighs about 36 pounds and does best as an inside-only dog. She’s currently healing from a wound caused by a tight collar, and with care and kindness, she’s already beginning to relax. She’s working on trusting people and learning housetraining, making slow but meaningful progress each day. What Ginger needs most is a patient, calm forever home—one that will move at her pace, celebrate the small wins, and show her through consistency and love that she’s finally safe. She may not rush up for attention right away, but once she trusts you, the bond will be incredibly special. If you have a quiet home, a gentle heart, and the patience to help a shy hound heal, Ginger could be the loyal companion you’ve been waiting for. 💕

Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Our 13-year-old English Foxhound has been a deeply loved member of our family since we adopted her in Utah many years ago. She has grown with us through multiple chapters of life and has moved with us to 3 different states, always adapting with grace and quiet loyalty. She has helped raise our children and has been endlessly patient, gentle, and kind with them. She is fully house trained and uses a doggy door, and she has always been an easy, well-mannered presence in our home. As our children have grown and our work schedules have become more demanding, we’ve come to the heartbreaking realization that we can no longer give her the time, attention, and companionship she truly deserves in her senior years. We are hoping to find her a calm, loving home (ideally with empty nesters or retirees) where she can enjoy a quieter pace of life, regular companionship, and plenty of affection. She is sweet, loyal, gentle, and soulful, with a calm demeanor that makes her a wonderful companion.
