Story
Sweet, shy redbone hound about 8 years old and 45 lbs.  She has had a hard life, is very shy. and is recovering in the Howling Wolf Cabin.  She came on 12/30/21 as a hospice case from the Valley River Humane Society in Murphy, NC as a stray but she has made a remarkable recovery.  Camillia is a low hw positive and is on the slow kill hw method with ivermectin.  She now has good food and a warm wood stove to lie by.  She has gained enough weight in the first two weeks to no longer appeared starved.  Camillia is a lovable hound.May 8, 2024, 12:02 am

Story
Poor Daisy was rescued by Castoff Pet Rescue, she had not been well cared for. We treated her and fully vetted her and she is ready for a home! She is a beautiful hound dog, with the most beautiful coat. She is a young adult and sadly she has been with us too long and she needs a home to call her own because the shelter stress is getting to her. Daisy is good with most dogs and no cats, but loves people. She is an active girl, like most hounds and she loves long walks and being able to sniff. She would love a "job" or just an active family but settles down really nicely. Please help us get her out of our shelter and into her own home where she can get the love and activity she so desperately needs! She requires a fenced in yard with an active family. Would be better with older children due to her activity level. She would make someone a great dog given the chance. She is high strung here at the shelter because of all the others. She is FULL OF ENERGY.

Story
We would like to introduce you to our girl, Molly. Want a dog that's just a cuddle bug? Want an adult dog so you don't have to go through the puppy stage? Want a pet that doesn't rip their bedding apart? Want a companion that will be "all about you"? Then look no further than Molly. Molly is a 3 year-old loving American Foxhound Mix with gorgeous eyes who just wants to share her love with someone of her own. She is a bit timid here at the shelter and would benefit tremendously from having a home of her own (even a foster home). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, deworming, and starting heartworm prevention and flea/tick control. Come by or call (423-442-1015) to meet and see if she fits in with your family.
