Someone forgot to tell Dewberry that he is really not a puppy anymore. His legs have grown longer, but his spirit remains young, and we wouldn't have it any other way.To watch Dewberry run is the opposite of poetry in motion. His legs go every which way, but he has the best time. You think he won't be able to stop as he comes at you full speed, but he has definitely learned his braking system. He pulls up just before he gets to you and let's you know he is thrilled you came to see him.I think we could all use a bit of his carefree spirit.Dewberry is a 3-year-old redbone coonhound. And he is gorgeous. He is heartworm positive but has already started treatment, and it is fully covered by AAS.The other amazing feature of Dewberry is this inner calmness he seems to have. If you're sitting with him, he will look over at you, as if to say, yep, I understand what you are thinking and agree. Who doesn't need that in their life?Please come meet this gentle, playful boy. Dewberry deserves his own family so he never has to play alone again. Dewberry and all of his friends are available to meet every single day from 9am-12pm, 80 Butler Farm Road in Hampton.Interested? She is VERY agile, would potentially make a great sporting prospect or definitely running partner/scent work. She loves to show she is built for sporting by sailing over our 6ft privacy fence with ease. Thankfully after she showed how cool that is, she hung around awaiting to be let back in. A strand of electric fence has kept her in. She loves to play and tosses toys in the air to play with. Very entertaining and sweet. Energy Level: average House trained: unknown Crate trained: yes Dog friendly: yes, must go to a home with others Cat friendly: yes, scared Kid friendly: nervous around kids and people in general but no fear aggression Temperament: nervous, shy, loves other dogs Adoption fee: 275 Available for adoption anywhere in the US and Canada with transport provided at no extra cost Currently located in East Patchogue, NY Application link: http://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/VACC/Dog Pinto Bean was a stray that animal control was unable to trap for months. Thankfully CCRT was asked to assist and we trapped her during a snow storm. She was quite the survivor on her own. Pinto is very shutdown. She handles well but alligator rolls on a leash still and is uncomfortable with handling. She is not reactive just shuts down. She adores other dogs and loved her freedom at CCRT of being in a kennel or 24/7 access to a play yard. She will need a very patient and educated home to allow her proper decompression and socialization Pinto Bean has scored a great foster home in NY but still not brave enough to interact with the family and new surroundings yet.
