We don’t know yet how he feels about cats or kids, but he’s been polite with everyone he’s met so far. Taylor is a large, handsome red hound with a classic Coonhound look. Miles is a beautiful redbone, an adult neutered male approx. 75 lbs. He is very sweet and friendly, NOT a hunting dog, he prefers the indoor life. Miles was microchipped and suppose to be picked up by his owner, who chose to leave him in our shelter...Visit this stunning boy at the rockbridge spca or email manager@rockbridgespca.net heartworm tested: Negative visit our fb page: dogs of rockbridge and rockbridge spca. NOTE: all animals adopted are taken straight to a local veterinarian for spay/neuter. We do adopt out of area providing adopter is will to make more than one trip. There are NO exceptions, and we do not hold animals. All Kittens and puppies must weigh 2 lbs. for surgery and there are a limited number of veterinarians in our area that will do a pediatric spay/neuter. please note the Rockbridge Spca does not have emotional support animals or service animals. we do not adopt to college students, however, they are welcome to volunteer. a home visit may be required

Meet Ruby! She is a 4 year old, redbone coonhound mix who is 4 years old and weights 55-60 pounds. Ruby is a sweet and happy girl who didn't have a knack for hunting so she came to us to find a bear free home! Having been chained....Ruby will need a patient new family who is ready to show her the joys of being a part of a family! Ruby is a little nervous is new situations and wants to get away from things she finds scary. Once she gets comfortable, she is wiggly and affectionate! Ruby has lived and hunted with other dogs but is likely not the best match for a home with cats. Ruby is a beautiful girl who is hoping to start a beautiful new life! Are you the fresh start she has been waiting for? Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3, foster-based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
