Please contact Hayley Silverman (hayley.silverman@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.Hot on the scent of his furever home!BAYOU NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Bayou          Best Guess for Breed: Redbone Coonhound Mix   Best Guess for Age: 3 years as of April 2026          SEX: Male   Approximate Weight: 47 lbs   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at: DC area foster home   Bayou is Looking For: His forever home - his own humans for romps and world exploration! He takes in the world with an eagerness, ever so curious about new places, new sights, and new friends! When the day winds down, Bayou is just as happy settling in for some quiet company. With his warm personality and gentle nature, he’s ready to meet his forever family and live happily ever after. What My Foster Says About Me: 'Bayou is such a great dog! In the home, he's well-mannered and hasn't had any accidents. He sleeps in our bedroom overnight but is crated when we're all out of the house and is quiet when he's in there. And he's always up for a great petting/scritching session.  But it's when he's in the great outdoors that he truly shines and thrives! He loves his walkies so much. He's got all that awesome young-dog energy and. needs to move a lot! We've been to many places in our part of the city - he walks with such confidence, ignoring city noises, eager to see what's ahead, what's right around the corner. When we went to Eastern Market, he got so much attention and so much love and he enjoyed it all! I've also taken him to fenced spots where he can run and burn off that energy and he loves running! (Note: He's not your typical hound - he doesn't follow his nose. He really enjoys looking all around him and stays with me very well.) He adores playing with pup pals too. His play style is more on the gentle side - we had an 8 year old dog a little larger than he is over, and they had great games of tug.  Bayou is an all around wonderful dog who will continue to blossom and thrive as he makes new pals (people and pup alike) and experiences new environments. He and his family will be so lucky to have each other.'  Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. If loving people were an Olympic sport, Boone the six-month-old Redbone Coonhound mix would take home the gold every single time! This 40-pound bundle of red-coated enthusiasm is friendly, playful, and so genuinely thrilled to be near his people that he has been known to get so excited during a good petting session that he ends up underfoot on the leash walk. He means well, he just really loves you. Boone knows sit, is quiet and calm in his crate, crate trained when on a schedule and is currently working on his housetraining. He is a smart boy and with consistency he will get there. Squeaky toys are basically Boone's love language, and he is happiest when he has a good squeak toy in his mouth, a dog friend to play with, and a human nearby ready to deliver belly rubs on demand. He is good with other dogs and friendly with strangers, and would do best in a home without cats. Boone would thrive in an active home with a fenced yard where he can burn off that glorious puppy energy and then come inside for the snuggles he so deeply deserves. He is young, enthusiastic, healthy, and has an absolutely enormous amount of love to give. If you are ready for a joyful, affectionate, and squeaky-toy-obsessed hound boy to join your family, text AARF at 931-260-8018 or visit www.aarf-tn.com today!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. June 14, 2026, 10:36 pm

Story
From Molly's foster mom: I found this scared, emaciated Redbone Coonhound wandering on our property. She has scarring from an embedded collar or chain. I just had to take her in. She is eating well and gaining a little weight back. Molly is very sweet and gets along well with smaller dogs, large dogs, and puppies. Cats are unknown. She rarely barks. She is very friendly with adults, but she has not been around children. She is skittish when loud trucks go by on our road. She is improving on her leash walking and potty training. Molly is affectionate and just wants to be part of a loving family.FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Story
Honey came to us from a very rural and high kill shelter after the people that had her gave away or sold her puppies. When we heard about her story and what happened to her puppies, we jumped to save her. Honey is as sweet as her name suggests. She is a lovely redbone coonhound and all around terrific dog. She knows her name and responds nicely to it, she knows "sit" and "lay down", takes treats gently, good on a leash, wags her tail and is friendly to other dogs that come over to meet her. She's a really nice girl and anyone lucky enough to adopt Honey will have a wonderful companion. HART Homepage: https://hart90.org/ Questions About this Animal? Story
Meet Marybelle! Marybelle was found with her 4 puppies on the side of the road, but Marybelle did such a good job keeping them safe until amazing humans stepped up! Now that all her kids found homes, she's patiently waiting for her turn. She is a gentle soul and loves people. She's got big ears and a bigger heart! She loves to go for casual walks and adventures, but she's just as content hanging out at the house with her people. She may need some time adjusting to living inside and help to get onto a routine since we aren't sure what her background is like before coming to the RHSPCA. She is food motivated, so that will help with training and maybe just to spoil her more. Marybelle is loyal, loving, goofy and we know that she is going to make the perfect companion. If you're interested in changing this sweet girls life and showing all the love and joy that life has to offer, stop by the RHSPCA today!
