Story
We adopted Scarlett and her brother from our local shelter. Their bay caught my attention and we fell in love. Scarlett is a young active female who loves to snuggle and have her ears scratched. She can also jump like a jack rabbit and is pretty quick. Her and Rhett need a loving family and space to run and romp. We need to rehome them due to current health issues with my wife.

Story
This young feller and his sister who we also need to rehome were in tge local shelter when we came across tgem. We fell in love instantly and adopted. They are loving funny and active. Pretty sure tgey are a hound/Lab mix. Rhett is a solid feller and loves to get into everything. Very intelligent but definitely strong willed and deserves a place to run and someone who can spend time with him and give him lots of love. Unfortunately my wives health has taken a hit in the past year and we really need to find a good home for him and his sister.

To learn more about Candy, please get in touch with dogs@lostdogrescue.org Candy will be at one of our adoption events this weekend! Visit our event page (https://www.lostdogrescue.org/events/) to see which one—event listings are usually updated on Fridays with attending dogs. Candy is a gorgeous caramel-colored Redbone Coonhound mix whose name fits her perfectly! She’s as sweet as caramel candy and just as irresistible. With her velvety coat glowing in warm amber tones and that magnificent hound nose leading the way, she turns heads everywhere she goes. Candy is friendly and energetic, and has done well playing with other dogs, happily joining in games and social time, showing off both her playful side and her easygoing nature. In true hound fashion, she loves to sniff on her walks ( who wouldn’t ?), but equally enjoys a good game of tug and searching for treats in a snuffle mat. She knows how to ‘sit’ and takes treats gently. If you’re looking for a best friend with a big nose for adventure and an even bigger heart for love, Candy is ready to caramel-melt her way right into yours.

Story
Meet Hemi! This handsome guy was an owner surrender at not fault of his own with his son Roscoe. Unfortunately their previous owners living arrangements changed and could no longer keep them. We do have Roscoe and Hemi as a bonded pair but we are not requiring them to be adopted out together, but if we could get them out together that would be great. Hemi is a lot different personality wise than Roscoe is, Hemi is very confident with himself. Just like his son Roscoe, Hemi loves the water and loves walks. He also really loves boat rides. Hemi did live in a home with kids and a cat and did great with them. Hemi also will sound his own alarm and is a vocal boy. We had a generous person donate towards the care of Roscoe (Redbone coon hound mix, 40lbs a year old) and Hemi (Redbone Coon hound, 62lbs, just over a year and a half). They were both Neutered today, they received their rabies shot, and they are both heartworm negative. They went to Richmond Animal Richmond Animal League today for their care (Thank you RAL for taking great care of them) and the wonderful staff at RAL said they were both on their best behavior and just as sweet as ever. Hopefully this donation towards their vet care will help these 2 get adopted. They are both absolutely beautiful and sweet as can be. Must see in person. Big thank you to Salem's Light for covering the rest of the surgery fees. You guys are amazing

Story
Fergi and Fetti (her mom) were taken from a local hunter, due to inadequate conditions. They are very sweet, but have never lived inside a home. They need a hero to come adopt and teach them about the good life inside a home. They do climb chain link fences, so they need homes who can contain them. Call New Kent at 804-966-9500
