Their parents were rescued and we were lucky enough to be able to help these 3. They all have wonderful, low key, gentle personalities (especially for their young age). Marco had an "off" gait in his hind end. X rays showed one hip was out of socket and needed corrective surgery. He had FHO surgery completed April 3rd so his hip will grow a false joint to make things good as new! Unfortunately his other hip will need FHO corrective surgery as well but no worries once he is cleared that other hip will be all doctored up as well! He has healed nicely (had to have the one hip done twice unfortunately) which has pushed back the process of getting the other hip done. Her foster mom says Pony has been a wonderful houseguest and has loved spending her days playing with her canine foster siblings and exploring the backyard whenever she gets the chance. Pony can be a little shy at first, but don’t let that fool you! Give her some gentle pets, a little love, and she’ll happily melt right into you. She’s still learning what it means to be a confident, well-rounded pup, so having another dog in her new home is important. A canine companion can help show Pony the ropes, build her confidence, and give her a buddy to play with. And when she wakes up from one of her cozy naps, she definitely has some energy to burn!Pony absolutely loves her crate and considers it her safe and happy space. Her new family will need a crate available for her so she always has a comfortable place to retreat and relax when she needs some downtime. Meet Barrelboy! This sweet hound boy didn`t have the greatest start to life, but after much TLC, he`s ready to find his new home! He can definitely be a bit nervous around new people, so we will require that everybody in the home comes to meet him before adoption, including other dogs, just to make sure everybody gets along. Barrelboy has done well with other dogs that meet his high energy play style. Once he gets comfortable though, Barrelboy is a sweetheart who loves attention and loves running and playing! He loves to eat and loves playing with toys, but he has been known to get a little protective over both, so make sure to give any food, treats, or toys separately if you have any other animals at home. Barrelboy is also not super educated in normal dog life, especially leash walking, so he will need some help with training and owners who have had dog experience in the past! Lastly, Barrelboy is unfortunately heartworm positive and will need to undergo treatment at our clinic after going home; luckily though, our friends at PETA have covered the treatment costs! At around 7 years old and 50 pounds, Budgie has found the perfect balance between playful and relaxed. He is an old fashioned B&T, big thick legs, huge ears, and the extra skin that makes you want to kiss him constantly. He came to one of our local shelters as a stray and went unclaimed. He LOVES his toys and will mostly be seen carrying one around. He is so gentle and loving and great in new environments with new people. Luke completed over a month long board and train program to help with dog selectiveness and start a base line of obedience. He then went to a local home and did amazing but unfortunately had to be returned due to a toy guarding incident and there were young children in the home. All details will be provided to any potential adopter, these folks were heartbroken to return him as they really loved havinf his goofy self around. In the week he stayed with them he also had several dogs around him without any issue (but we still recommend him being the only dog in the home)
