Meet Kona! Kona has joined our rescue from our friends at Pinal County, where she was continuously overlooked by potential adopters. Kona has quickly become a favorite amongst volunteers in the rescue. She has a sweet and goofy personality and she’s incredibly affectionate. Kona loves playing with toys (especially her ball) and then coming into your lap for belly rubs. Kona walks well on leash and takes corrections well. She knows basic commands and is house and crate-trained. Kona is dog-friendly with proper introductions with males and smaller female dogs. She is great with people and has previous notes of doing well with children. Kona politely asks for no cats in her future home.

If you’re looking for a true best friend, she’s your girl. Melina is bouncy, happy, and full of playful puppy energy. She loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to romp around with—she’s the kind of pup who makes instant friends wherever she goes. She’s curious, affectionate, and already showing what a loyal companion she’ll grow into. She’s also a smart girl—Melina learned how to use a doggy door in under 10 minutes, which makes potty training that much easier! Whether it’s playtime in the yard, a walk around the neighborhood, or cozy couch cuddles, Melina is just happy to be by your side. Does your best friend need a best friend?
