Clifford is the sweetest boy, but he came to the shelter scared and distrustful of new people. Once he warms up he is loving, obedient, and above all PLAYFUL. This young dog would chase a ball all day. He is smart and treat motivated, and we know he’ll respond quickly to training. He really doesn’t take long to come around now, and has met strangers both out in public and in shelter with success. Clifford still struggles with fear based responses, though, and will need a confident and experienced handler who can help him feel safe and make good choices. He shows real promise with other dogs, just needs to learn how to play a little better post neuter. You’ll see his body language is all play in the videos. Though Clifford has made great improvements in the shelter, he is on our urgent to exit list, as we don’t want him to backslide into fearfulness by staying at the shelter. Can you help Clifford?

Meet Brownie! Brownie is a beautiful 7-year-old female Rhodesian Ridgeback who found herself in the shelter through no fault of her own. She came in with her longtime companion, Tex, after an unfortunate change in their family life left them needing a new home.Brownie is a sweet, expressive, and very talkative girl who isn’t shy about sharing her thoughts—you might even suspect there’s a smidge of hound dog mixed in with her Ridgeback roots! She’s been by Tex’s side her whole life, and the two have been a source of comfort for one another during this big transition.While Brownie and Tex do not have to be adopted together, they would truly prefer it, as they’ve only ever known life side by side. Brownie would do best in a loving home that appreciates her personality, her voice, and her loyal heart—whether that’s with Tex or on her own with a family ready to adore her. Meet Tex! Tex is a handsome 7-year-old neutered male Rhodesian Ridgeback who came to the shelter through no fault of his own. He arrived with his best friend, Brownie, a 7-year-old female Rhodesian Ridgeback, after an unfortunate change in their family life left them needing a new home.These two have spent their lives together and have been each other’s constant through a lot of recent upheaval. While Tex and Brownie do not have to be adopted together, they would truly love the chance to stay together, as all they’ve known is one another. We have had Gracie since she was 8 weeks old. We adopted her from our neighbor and has given our family so much joy. She is extremely loving and loyal. She wants to always be near by and involved. She loves our two kids and exploring. She is potty trained and can walk on a leash. Recently trained her to not pull on walks and is very smart and wants to please. I have been able to be home with her but am no longer going to be a stay at home parent and will be attending an intense medical schooling. And no longer have the time to give her what she needs. Currently goes on daily walks, training, plays with other dogs regularly, socializing, crate trained/house trained, leash trained, goes to her place. I would love for her to go to a loving home who can incorporate her into your life. She will be your best friend. Also loves kisses.
