Story
Meet Ruger!  He is a HANDSOME 4 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix puppy.  He found himself at animal control and was absolutely terrified there!  Nobody knows where he came from or why nobody came to claim him but he was not doing well at the shelter so we pulled him out.  He is skinny but is eating like a champ so should put on weight quickly.   Ruger is shy and will take a little bit to warm up and adjust/get comfortable in a new home.  He would probably benefit from someone with another dog and property for him to run around on and explore.  He is great with other dogs and cats and will grow up to be a gorgeous dog.  He has had his first set of puppy vaccines and his neuter and booster shot appointment will be made once his adoption is finalized.  Adopter MUST bring him to his neuter appointment, no exceptions.  Adoption fee and contract required. Story
Meet Remi! This 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback-Hound blend weighs 61 lbs. Remi is a sweetheart looking for a family to snuggle with. General Behavior: Remi is a big ball of love that can often be found right next to you, ready to snuggle. She is easy-going and eager for attention! Likes & Dislikes: Remi enjoys being with her family, lounging indoors on the couch, or outdoors on the patio. She occasionally plays with toys but would much rather spend the day sunbathing. She is not a fan of loud or noisy environments and prefers a calm atmosphere. Training: This affectionate gal has good basic manners. While she isn’t a fan of car rides, she does well on a leash. She has shown an understanding of housetraining. Remi has exhibited guarding behaviors over her food and her people in her home. These behaviors have been restricted to within her home. She is fine with sleeping in either her bed or her human's bed at night. Medical: Aside from some age-related arthritis, Remi is a healthy pooch. She takes daily anti-inflammatory medication to help with pain management, costing approximately $30 per month. She also requires monthly heartworm and flea preventative, like any other dog. Other Animals: Remi interacts well with other dogs and would not mind sharing her home with another. She has not yet been introduced to any cats, but we think she would do just fine. Children: Remi requires a home without children. She is easily spooked by loud noises and isn’t comfortable around them. A home with teens would be okay. Home: Remi’s ideal home would be a single-story without stairs, as she’s an older girl. She requires an outdoor, securely fenced-in backyard where she can be let out frequently to sunbathe and soak in the rays. A child-free home with a family that understands her quirks is a must! Grooming: As a short-haired pup, Remi will not require any elaborate grooming other than her regular baths and nail trims. Overall: Remi is a snuggle bug, and all she wants is to be loved and spend time with her humans. Are you the one for Remi? Visit our website www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org where you will find the application to adopt. You’ll be put in contact with her foster family for more information if it’s a potential match. She is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and heartworm negative. Her adoption donation is $225.  ##1988825##
