Our two dogs came from a close family friend of my father’s. They are mixed breeds — the male, Kauska, is a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Black Mouth Cur mix, and the female, Prada, appears to be a German Shepherd/Hound mix. We brought them home in April 2025, and they have been with us ever since. Kauska and Prada are both friendly, playful, and have never shown any aggression or bitten anyone. Kauska is the more food-motivated one and prefers not to share with his sister, while Prada tends to be the quicker learner and slightly more independent. They are outdoor dogs and know a little basic training such as sitting before meals. They are escape-artists by nature and love to roam when given the opportunity. Unfortunately, our family isn’t equipped to give them the training, supervision, or time they need, as we all work full-time. While we make sure they& fed twice a day, they deserve a home that can offer more structure, attention, exercise, and training.

We were all adopted, and I guess I drew the short straw as my family had to surrender me back to the rescue, as they could not care for me anymore. I'm 1 1/2 years old now and a very good boy - I know I didn't do anything wrong, so I will wait patiently for my new family to take me home! My rescue believes I'm a Catahoula mix, possibly with cur. My adoption fee has been fully waived thanks to an anonymous donor... I am up to date on my vaccinations, neutered, dewormed, heartworm negative, and microchipped. All I need now is a new home! Hi, my name is Rocky! I was found as a stray laying on a random front porch exhausted and sore from road rash. A Good Samaritan found me and reached out to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue to help me get the medical care I needed. I'm doing great now - a happy, healthy boy! I've had a pretty rough go of it in my past, but I'm a good boy who deserves a loving home. I know basic commands, I love the pool and playing fetch, and walk pretty well on leash. I'm best suited for a home with no other pets. I've done great with every human that I've met! I'm estimated at around 4 years old and last weighed in at 57 lbs. I'm currently being fostered by the great folks over at Arfington Pet Resort in Tamarac, Florida who fell in love with me when they met me a while back. He has some skin issues that may need care or monitoring in the future, but with a little love and attention, this sweet pup has so much potential to thrive. Ooby would do best in a calm, patient home where he can decompress, build trust, and learn that people can be kind. He’s a handsome, sensitive soul who deserves a second chance and a warm spot to finally feel at peace. 💕
