Born: July 08, 2012 I am 66lbs, and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $75 Meet Harley, a sweet and affectionate Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mix looking for his forever home. Harley joined Animal House Shelter after his beloved owner sadly passed away. This senior dog has a gentle soul and a loving nature. Harley is house-trained and enjoys car rides, making him a wonderful companion for adventures. Over the years, he’s learned several commands, including "lay," "down," "sit," and "come." He’s great with kids and other dogs, making him a perfect addition to any family. Harley is ready to "motor" into your life and share his endless love and loyalty.  All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. An application is required to view our adoptable pets. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Sasha how are you holding up? You are lonely and worried arent you girl...the people you trusted to keep you safe all seem to drop you. Time and time again she is handed off like a baton only never making it to the finish line. Sasha is a big girl, she is strong, she is also timid even shy and needs to build her confidence. Sasha was living with a family that really didnt care for teaching her, training her, they just brought her up like a weed and when she was no longer convenient, they dropped her at a kill shelter. She struggled in the overcrowded environment, and the shelter let the previous owner know they will be putting her down, through some miracle she was given to another owner. This person got lost on their path and during her stay with this individual she was nervous, mishandled and sometimes mistreated. Sasha is like all of us, trying to phone home. Where exactly is that place. Sasha walks nicely on a leash and despite her confusing start to life-she loves taking direction from people. Sasha has a protective streak and will bond to her main person or people. She will honor you and will enjoy the guidance for many years to come. Sasha seems interested in people even kids but still needs to build her social skills. She was polite around a child and didn't try to get over to the child in any of setting manner. Sasha is like many dogs that end up in the rescue system undertrained, underloved, misguided and in need of structure and care. This girl needs some real TLC and a real shot at a true family. We are still learning how Sasha gets along with animals but will know real soon after we assess. (We do not DNA test).  This poor girl found herself in a shelter down south when her owner went to jail.  Lucky for her some kind people saw her and brought her into rescue and she found her way up north to HWM.  Peaches is crate trained and house broken.  Her foster mom says she walks great on her harness and might even make a great jogging buddy for someone.  While Peaches doesn’t necessarily need a fenced in yard, she is high energy, so she will need lots of exercise, and walks.  Her potential adopters must be very committed to this.    Peaches is described by her foster momma as eager to please, food motivated and very affectionate.  This sweet girl has done well with other dogs in the foster home, as well as adults, but has not yet been exposed to cats or small humans.    Peaches is heartworm positive, but don't let that deter you.   She will be receiving treatment that is covered by the rescue.  Potential adopters will speak to a member of our medical team prior to any meet and greet, so they can fully understand the treatment and what it entails.     Peaches’ Adoption fee is  $350.00.  This includes age appropriate vaccines, completed wellness exam, and microchip.  *HWMAR presents the information in these bios based on our foster observations and any information presented to us regarding prior living conditions, breed specifications. This big, goofy puppy is all about love, playtime, and figuring out life one silly step at a time. Bubba may not quite realize his size yet, but he definitely knows how to make people smile. He’s currently working on house training and making great progress, and he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate after a few minutes of protest.
