My name is Shaxy, and I’m a fun, affectionate, and intelligent girl looking for my forever home. I’m about 4 years old and a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix with brains and personality to match my looks! I’m a very well-behaved dog with great house manners and a big heart. I already know lots of commands including sit, stay, down, come, shake, roll over, and more — I absolutely love learning and showing off my skills! I’m also crate trained and leash trained, and I do great with handling for brushing, baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning. I enjoy: 🐾 Long walks (twice daily is best for me!) 🎾 Playing tug and chasing my ball 🛏 Cozy beds, blankets, and even sharing your bed ❤️ Being close to my people and soaking up affection I’m great with other dogs, older kids, and women, and I can be selective with some men at first — but with patience and trust, I warm up nicely. I’m alert and protective by nature (it’s just in my DNA!) so I can be vocal at times, especially when I’m excited or guarding my home and people. Meet the sweet Lovely! This beautiful 4.5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Doberman mix is as affectionate as her name suggests. This gorgeous girl has done an incredible job raising her nine puppies, and now it’s her turn to be loved and cared for. Lovely is a shy, sensitive soul who takes time to trust—but when she does, she bonds deeply. We don't exactly know what her breed is, but she is gorgeous and extremely strong. Lovely prefers women but has slowly learned to trust certain men with patience and consistency. We don’t know what her past holds, but it’s clear that she’s been through a lot. She deserves a safe, understanding home where she can finally just be someone’s dog. Lovely must be the only pet in the home—no other dogs, no dog parks, and no playdates. She’s extremely loyal and protective of her person, and she takes her job seriously. If you enjoy hiking or daily walks, she’ll gladly come along, but she’ll be on alert as your tiny, furry bodyguard. She loves chasing balls and gets the cutest zoomies—it’s a glimpse of the playful pup hiding beneath her serious exterior. 💛 Ideal home: • Female-led home • No other pets • Willing to give her space and time to settle • Dog-savvy and patient • Understands or willing to learn about protective behavior Lovely has waited long enough. Maggie has been a part of our family for 10 years. She really is loved and a great dog. Our goal is to rehome her to a family that can give her more attention, exercise and a happier life for her remaining years. Although she is 10 she still has so much energy, life and love to give. She is sweet, loyal and loves everyone. She is affectionate to everyone she meets. She can sleep all day, snuggle endlessly, or run a marathon with you. If she is bored she’s very smart and can find the trash or food left out if left unattended. She is crate trained and loves her crate so we avoid her tearing the trash up by crating her when we leave. She will bark if the door is knocked or if there are landscapers but it’s never constant or incessant.
