Meet Shaxy 💕 4-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback / Boxer mix | Female | High-energy | Smart & loving Hi future family! My name is Shaxy, and I’m a fun, affectionate, and intelligent girl looking for my forever home. I’m about 4 years old and a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback/Boxer mix with brains and personality to match my looks! I’m a very well-behaved dog with great house manners and a big heart. I already know lots of commands including sit, stay, down, come, shake, roll over, and more — I absolutely love learning and showing off my skills! I’m also crate trained and leash trained, and I do great with handling for brushing, baths, nail trims, and ear cleaning. I enjoy: 🐾 Long walks (twice daily is best for me!) 🎾 Playing tug and chasing my ball 🛏 Cozy beds, blankets, and even sharing your bed ❤️ Being close to my people and soaking up affection I’m great with other dogs, older kids, and women, and I can be selective with some men at first — but with patience and trust, I warm up nicely. I’m alert and protective by nature (it’s just in my DNA!) so I can be vocal at times, especially when I’m excited or guarding my home and people. I respond well when told “no” and I’m eager to please. Please fill out an application to meet her!

** PLEASE EMAIL questions, please DO NOT call. We are a volunteer based group and are unable to handle the call volume. WE HOLD ADOPTIONS ON SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS FROM 10-4 PM at our Adoption Center. Our adoption center is located next to CAL Ranch at 232 North Jones (I-95) Suite 170. NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY, just walk right in. Romy is about 8 months old and currently weighs about 26 lbs. Unfortunately, she came into a shelter as a stray so we have no back history, more will be known about me soon. She has the Rhodesian ridge. A Path 4 Paws holds adoption events at our Adoptions Center, located at 232 N. Jones Blvd, Suite 170 right next to CAL Ranch (North Jones/ I-95). Please bring your dog(s) for a meet and greet (if applicable) Please bring your entire family so everyone can meet. If you are interested in Romy, please contact dogrescuelv@hotmail.com to confirm the dog you are interested in, will be attending that particular event. We have limited space at the store, therefore we can not take every dog out to the event. This pet comes with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org . This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle Romy into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours, Monday-Friday. This pet is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits, including a Healthy Start Certificate with the VCA Hospitals with a $250 health credit (restrictions apply). Adoption fee applies. Please make sure you have read the information listed on the homepage for requirements and restrictions. Foster homes & volunteers are always needed. Meet the sweet Lovely! This beautiful 4.5-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback/Doberman mix is as affectionate as her name suggests. This gorgeous girl has done an incredible job raising her nine puppies, and now it’s her turn to be loved and cared for. Lovely is a shy, sensitive soul who takes time to trust—but when she does, she bonds deeply. We don't exactly know what her breed is, but she is gorgeous and extremely strong. Lovely prefers women but has slowly learned to trust certain men with patience and consistency. We don’t know what her past holds, but it’s clear that she’s been through a lot. She deserves a safe, understanding home where she can finally just be someone’s dog. Lovely must be the only pet in the home—no other dogs, no dog parks, and no playdates. She’s extremely loyal and protective of her person, and she takes her job seriously. If you enjoy hiking or daily walks, she’ll gladly come along, but she’ll be on alert as your tiny, furry bodyguard. She loves chasing balls and gets the cutest zoomies—it’s a glimpse of the playful pup hiding beneath her serious exterior. 💛 Ideal home: • Female-led home • No other pets • Willing to give her space and time to settle • Dog-savvy and patient • Understands or willing to learn about protective behavior Lovely has waited long enough. Poor Riley was living in a loving home all her life until her owner fell ill and was transferred into assisted living. Thank goodness for the kind neighbor that has been caring for her. Riley is 8 years old and does have a burn on her back she got from hiding under a car many years ago. They will soon be selling the home and Riley is in desperate need of a loving and safe new home. Her owner would love to know she is safe and taken care of. Although she is 8 she has plenty of life and still loves to play. Adoption fee is $100 she is fully vetted.
