Story
Haaland got a very hands-on start to life. This adorable 4-month-old puppy was raised as a bottle baby, so being loved and cared for by people is all he's ever known. His parents are unknown, but Haaland may be a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He has a gorgeous, shiny chocolate coat with a distinctive darker ridge running down his back. Haaland is one of those puppies who always seems to be happy. He's constantly smiling, loves other dogs, and grew up surrounded by cats and even tiny kittens. He's a sweet, social, happy boy who is ready to finish growing up with a family of his own. Good fit: someone looking for a happy, social puppy who loves other animals and has been raised around both dogs and cats from the very beginning. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), I always take my dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and on preventatives. Haaland is currently too young/small to be neutered. Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Bonus: Each adoption includes a 30-minute phone consultation with a professional trainer Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ Think you might be a good fit? *****Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Meet Juice (known by his foster as Joey), a neutered 4-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing about 56 lbs, with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants to feel safe. He’s a sweet, charming boy who’s been through a lot and is ready for a calm, loving home where he can finally settle in and be someone’s whole world. Juice is affectionate, cuddly, and loves his toys, but his favorite thing is quietly hanging out with his person, and he loves resting his head and paw on your arm like his own little love language. He can be shy and wary with new people at first. Slow, gentle introductions help him build trust, and once he does, he is deeply loyal and devoted. Juice played with neighborhood dogs, including a larger husky. His play style was bouncy and rough. He has become more fearful around unfamiliar dogs and prefers his space, especially near his crate. He’s seems to ignores smaller dogs, and would be happiest as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. Juice is not cat friendly and will chase, so a cat-free home is required for him. Juice has an average energy level and is happy with moderate daily activity. He does pull on leash when excited and has been working on that. He responds best to patience and kindness, as harsh correction can cause him to cower and feel guilty. He is always crated when left alone due to his love for chewing, although he does sleep well in there through the night. He’s had some potty accidents. Juice does great in the car but may need assistance getting in. He's always ready for a ride. Juice has only shown some food aggression with other dogs, but with stability and routine he’s made great progress. He eats separately in his crate. He may still guard high-value treats, which is easily managed with respect for his boundaries. Juice would do best in a quiet home with soft-spoken, patient adults who understand that healing takes time. He’s not a “problem dog” he’s a sensitive soul who just needs the right person to make him feel safe, loved, and chosen. Give Juice that, and he’ll give you his whole heart. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him? Story
Meet Betsy Blue, the wiggly, talkative, piglet-sounding sweetheart you didn’t know you needed in your life. Betsy is about two years old, and while we can’t be certain since she’s a rescue, our best guess is that she’s a Catahoula Leopard Dog and Pittie mix. With her one blue eye and one brown eye, her soft, floppy ears, and her gorgeous coloring, she’s as stunning as she is silly. Betsy wears her heart close to her chest, and really leans into the people she knows best. However once you join her inner circle, she's the most loving and loyal pup you'll ever have. She's joyful, snorty, and downright hilarious. Her foster says she sounds like a piglet when she gets excited, and she'll greet her favorite people with the biggest smile on her face. Betsy has insurmountable, never ending affection for her humans with wags, wiggles, and the most loving gaze you could imagine. This girl has a deep love for her people. See just how loving and silly this girl can be in her video! https://youtu.be/s42gtTUfaQg?si=chzlVTRf8K1Stl5r Betsy is an active girl who loves her walks, and she’s an absolute dream on the leash. She’ll trot right beside you, checking in with sweet eye contact to make sure you’re enjoying yourself as much as she is. Back at home, she’s a toy enthusiast — her favorite playthings are actually small plush cat toys. She’ll toss them into the air, chase them around, and keep herself entertained with the tiniest of stuffies. She’s also a huge foodie, totally motivated by treats, which makes her not only fun but easy to train. Betsy is a smart girl too! She picks up new commands within a day or so, and loves to spend quality time learning with you. Betsy has lived with other dogs in her foster home and, while she can be shy and a little unsure at first, she blossoms once she feels safe. With time and patience, she turns into a playful companion who enjoys running, chasing, and being chased. Betsy is a dream cat-friendly girl. Her foster mom brings home all sorts of kitties - big social ones, shy ones, and even baby kittens! Betsy does phenomenal with them all. She can read the roam and if a cat wants to play - she's up for it! If the cat doesn't want anything to do with her - she gets that too! She has had plenty of practice in being cat-savvy and is capable of living peacefully with them. Because Betsy can be slow to open up to new people, she would do best with a family who understands the beauty of patience. She would thrive in a quieter home where she can truly decompress, gain confidence, and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place. Older kids who can respect her space and let her come around on her own terms would be a great match for her. Once she trusts you, though, Betsy bonds hard. She’ll be your devoted best friend, your walking buddy, your toy-tossing partner, and your snuggly couch companion. Betsy never fails to bring a smile to everyone she meets. She’s wiggly, silly, snorty, and incredibly loyal — the kind of dog who will make you laugh every single day while reminding you just how special the bond between a rescue and their person can be. She has been described as just so loveable! If you’re ready to give her the patience she deserves, Betsy is ready to give you her whole heart. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Story
There are puppies that are cute... and then there are puppies that somehow manage to make every single day a little more fun just by being themselves. That's Liza Minnelli. She's the kind of puppy who's always ready to grab a toy, start a game, make you laugh with her goofy antics, and then melt into you for a few cuddles once she's all tuckered out. She has one of those wonderfully happy personalities that's hard to put into words, but incredibly easy to fall in love with. Watch her video and prepare to fall in love with this sweet little lady: https://youtu.be/0ndFxBm7my0?si=nt08sJ8FKrDHB0nY Liza is believed to be approximately 5 months old and currently weighs about 30 pounds. As with any rescue puppy, her exact breed is always a mystery, but our best guess is she's a Black Mouth Cur and Pittie mix. Whatever combination created her also gave her a beautiful face, a playful spirit, and a personality that's every bit as lovable as it is fun. One of our favorite things about Liza is just how much joy she seems to find in everything. Hand her a toy? Best day ever. Toss it across the room? Even better. She absolutely loves playing, happily entertains herself with toys, and has the kind of cheerful, easygoing disposition that makes her a pleasure to be around. She's the perfect mix of playful puppy energy and sweet affection, always happy to join in on the fun but just as happy soaking up a little love from her people. Like every puppy her age, Liza is still learning all about the world around her. Right now, her days are filled with playtime, naps, mealtime, and discovering something new every day. Each new experience helps build her confidence while she learns what it means to be part of a family. Watching puppies grow through this stage is one of the most rewarding parts of adoption, and Liza is ready for someone to help guide her through it. Bringing home a puppy is a commitment, but it's also an incredibly rewarding adventure. Liza will need a family that's ready to continue teaching her all the important things puppies need to learn, including potty training, crate training, leash walking, basic manners, and positive socialization. Patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement will go a long way in helping her grow into the amazing adult dog we know she can become. If you're ready for the laughs, the puppy zoomies, the toy explosions across your living room, and the incredibly special bond that comes from raising a puppy, Liza just might be your perfect match. She's ready to find the family who will love her through every stage of growing up, and we have a feeling she's going to make them smile every single day. We are willing to test Liza Minnelli with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life?
