Dog meet and greets are by appointment only, please answer the questions below the bio, either through Petfinder, Adopt-A-Pet or by directly e-mailing us at shelter@hbpets.org. Please be patient, we try and get back to you as quickly as possible, answering the questions below, help us greatly. Hi there, I'm Miley! I'm a young at 9mths old, curious gal who loves to explore. I've got a sweet side that'll melt your heart, and a goofy side that'll keep you laughing. I'm always up for a game of fetch or a fun puzzle to solve - I'm pretty smart, if I do say so myself! Energy? Oh, I've got plenty of that. Playtime is my favorite time, but I also love a good cuddle session. I'm looking for a forever home with someone who loves adventures as much as I do. Adopting me means endless fun, lots of laughs, and a loyal friend for life. I am learning about other dogs and how to understand there cues, I am doing great, I am learning several commands and the team says I am a very fast learner. I would love another dog who can teach me the ropes, but I would prefer a home with children over 12yrs old. My adoption fee is $300, includes spay, microchip, vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment and 1pound bag of food. 1. Do you have a privately fenced yard? 2. How many humans and ages live in your home? 3. How many animals and types? 4. Do you have time for daily walks or jogs? 5. Are you active, hiking etc? 6. Do you have the time for training? 7. Do you have the time to give her hugs and kisses? 8. Have you ever owned a Rhodesian Ridgeback before, before, if so please tell us about them. 9. What would a typical Miley day be like?

These pups are in Portland, Oregon too!

Story
Silly Goose is sweet, gentle, loves the water, being outside, and loves being around the people he cares about most. Maybe it’s his sweet eyes that look at you with so much love in them, his cute floppy ears when they perk up or his radiating smile. Watch his video here: https://youtu.be/dh3rTPFy77g?si=VlOeTrbJDxdCcYT6 Goose is a Black Mouth Cur mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 48 lbs and is fully grown! He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it’s always a mystery. He is very dog friendly and did amazing meeting all of the dogs we introduced him too. He has the energy and will play for short burst with the other dogs but also knows when to take breaks. He is also very tolerant and is more of a submissive fella. When he’s not playing with his doggy friends, you’ll typically find him in sitting in the back watching the other dogs play in the yard, out exploring and taking in the fresh air, chilling in the pool/pond, or loving on his humans. He has a really nice calming demeanor about him and a great balanced energy that could match a variety of different households. He would do great in home with a backyard where he can sunbathe and roll around in the grass. I do see Goose living his best life out in the country exploring with his people, swimming in the pond, catching butterflies with the kids, and sitting with you on the back porch watching the sunset. To our knowledge he is crate and potty trained but may need a reminder once he arrives to his new home. Goose will need someone willing to help him polish his leash skills and teach him basic manners. He is very treat motivated which will make training a breeze. He is not jumpy or mouthy and is very tolerant of physical touch. We believe he would make a great family dog with kids. We are willing to test Goose with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! Three Little Pitties Rescue will soon be celebrating our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 10,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! Meet Estrella, a petite nugget of love! Estrella wiggles with excitement to her people and pulls you in with her all white toothy grin staff are so fond of! Check out Estrella and all her love here! https://youtu.be/5XFUx1TVMF4?feature=shared Estrella is around a year old and 35lbs. With her expressive ears and perfectly smush of a face we think she could be a chihuahua and pit bull mix. With rescue, nothing is ever for certain or guaranteed on where our dogs come from or their breeds. But man when she looks up at you and her little front teeth show, all I can think of her as is “a pawfect angel”. Estrella has been around our resident cat Tom and did amazing! When she went up to sniff, he did his typical signal for get away pup, and smacked her. Poor thing went straight to her handler for reassurance! She’s a gentle soul. She was around Tom many times after and never sought to retaliate. She is very cat tolerant and wouldn’t mind kitty friends at home! Though she did great in this interaction, we do not know if she has ever lived with cats nor can we guarantee that things won’t change in the home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions she can coexist with them! Speaking of friends, Estrella LOVES her hoomans! Some may say even a bit more than anything else. That’s okay though we will take the attention! Estrella met a few of our helper dogs and did well opening up after time to get used to them. She is a naturally curious girl and will go up to check out other dogs if they are facing away (privacy, how considerate of her!). After some time together she started to initiate and return play on her own with her new friends. She got the biggest bounces and zoomies out, she’s like lightning! This bouncy ball of a girl would do well in a home with other dogs who will allow her to melt into herself after a calm meet up. Estella has shown us her love language is definitely physical touch! If you walk by and don’t say hi she will give you some serious booty wiggles and turn those hazel eyes in your direction like “uh dude you know I’m your favorite” until you give her the ultimate snuggles. Get this girl on a couch and you’ve achieved an ultimate binge a thon partner just have those belly scratches ready! Men are starting to grow on little miss thing with the multiple interactions she’s had at the rescue. With more exposure and positive interactions she will get more comfortable. She doesn’t try to attack, just can be guarded but will let you hold her leash and be close! She is so sweet and once you have that trust built she is all yours. Estrella is crate and potty trained to the best of our knowledge. She has stayed at a trusted volunteers home several nights and has came back with nothing but praise! Like with most dogs in a new place she may need a reminder about where the appropriate potty places are once in a home. We are willing to test Estrella with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Story
Lonzo is the steady, somewhat serious one of his litter – and he’s a big cuddly teddy bear. This solid puppy loves to play and wrestle with his siblings but is more watchful and curious of all that goes on around him. He’s also adventurous and not afraid to go off exploring on his own. Unless he’s sleeping. Which he does a LOT. Lonzo is really enjoying puppy life and we know you will too. Lonzo is sure to be a brave and loyal friend to whomever is lucky enough to adopt him. Lonzo has the softest brown coat, with a black snout, black ‘eyebrows’, and dark blue eyes that will surprise you every time they catch the light. This puppy has a lot of dark features, so that flash of blue will definitely make you look twice. Lonzo has the cutest white dot of fur on top of his nose, and a white stripe down his chin – an easy way to distinguish him from his other brown siblings. Lonzo’s soft floppy ears are also tipped in black and you will love to watch them as he bounces along in his puppy prance. His chest is white with a brown dot in the center – a literal bullseye for scratches and belly rubs, both of which he can’t resist. You are sure to be entertained by all of Lonzo’s classic puppy antics. He loves to jump and play with all eight (8!) of his siblings and would do well in a house with other dogs, or as the sole star of your attention. This litter was born in care, and Lonzo is one of the three boys of this litter (that also has six girls). Lonzo is currently just 5 weeks old and only a few pounds, and we think he may be a Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! What matters most is that they are adorable and are one the MOST desperate in the entire US based on statistics for where this puppy is from. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves his/her life as well as the life of another in its place. Lonzo is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!
