Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This strikingly handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Boone is a 2 year old mixed breed who is looking for a loving and accommodating home. We believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with some sort of bully breed, but we do not know for sure. Boone is very social and affectionate. He loves people and just wants to be the center of someone’s world. Boone thrives in a single dog home and does great with older kids. Boone does not care to bark much. He is house trained. Weighs about 55 pounds. Boone would be perfect for someone who is retired, works from home, or who could take him to work with them. Boone loves to go places and be included. He struggles with being crated and left alone, but has started to make progress with being left for very short amounts of time outside of a crate. Boones likes are car rides, tough chew bones, cuddles, The Lion King and being wrapped up in a blanket. He likes walks but needs a little practice and might try to chase a squirrel if he sees one. Boone is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. In New England.  To apply-https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. Story
Mae Mae Mae Mae is approximately a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is absolutely beautiful and reminds you of a small deer. Mae Mae is as sweet as can be. If you are looking for a low maintenance, couch loving, tv watching, sometimes plays with toys dog, then she is your go to girl. Mae Mae was found in an abandoned building with a severely broken leg which had to be amputated. She is still a resilient girl after all that she has been through. Mae Mae spends her days being lazy on the couch and looking out the window to be apart of the neighborhood watch. Mae Mae is housebroken; she also uses the doggy door in her foster home. Mae Mae knows some commands and if you tell her to go to her crate, she will go in without repetitive asking. Mae Mae sometimes plays with toys and/or chews on bones. Mae Mae loves to be around her people. Mae Mae does not let having three legs dampen her spirit at all. Mae Mae loved playing in the snow we had, will run around the backyard, jump on the bed and sprawl out and roll around when she is happy. Mae Mae is now ready to find her furever home. Mae Mae is currently fostered with other dogs. Mae Mae will need someone who is a leader and will keep that leadership role in the home. Of course with any dog, the decompression stage is very important, as well as slow introductions and understanding. Story
Jake and Gracie are a deeply bonded pair of senior dogs who must stay together. Affectionate, loyal, and low-maintenance, they thrive in a calm, predictable home where they can relax near their people. Gracie, an 8-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, is gentle, independent, and very low energy. She’s happiest resting somewhere warm and enjoys companionship without needing constant attention. She’s food-motivated and easygoing. Jake, an approx. 8-year-old mixed breed, is affectionate and loves cuddling and praise. While he has moderate energy, he does best with short bursts of activity and settles well at home. He can be reactive on leash and has a strong prey drive, so a home without other pets is important. They do well with a secure yard, don’t require daily walks, and are happiest in a quieter adult home. They simply want to stay together and be loved.

These pups are in Lancaster, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Meet Molly: Molly is about a 4 month old (as of June 12, 2026) Catahoula/Lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 20 pounds. This litter of cuties (Gracey, Sadie, Brandi, Molly, Goldie, Snoopy, Dottie and Daisy) was found as strays with their mom in a rural area in Mississippi. Luckily the person who spotted them took them and dropped them at a local animal shelter. We heard about the need to get them into a rescue and were able to step up. Molly is being fostered in the Lititz, PA area and would love to meet her forever family! Molly, and this full litter, is a group of very active, sweet, friendly and loving pups. Molly is a confident girl that loves to play. She is great with other dogs and loves zooming around the yard, playing with toys, and cuddling on your lap. Molly has been around cats and is interested in them. She will run and bark at them and then lick her new little friends. Molly is a house training super star: she hasn't had any accidents in her foster home! She is crate trained. She would love another dog in her forever home to play with! Molly is very smart- she is learning commands and not to jump up on people.  We would love for Molly to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Molly is up to date on her puppy shots and will need to be spayed when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this little cutie a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Goldie: Goldie is about a 4 month old (as of June 12, 2026) Catahoula/Lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 18 pounds. She is a very sweet and loving puppy.  Goldie was part of a litter that was surrendered to an animal shelter in MS, along with their mother. She and all of her litter mates (Gracey, Sadie, Brandi, Molly, Snoopy, Dottie, and Daisy) are active, sweet, friendly and loving pups. Goldie is being fostered in the Lititz, PA area and would love to meet her forever family! Her fosters can only say good things about this beautiful girl. She is great with kids and loves to meet other dogs. If she had her way, she would meet every dog she passes. Goldie is smart, too! She has only been with her fosters since mid-May 2026 and she has already learned the "sit" and "leave it" commands. We think she has the potential to learn much more.  Goldie was around cats when she lived in the south. She was interested in them. She would run and bark at them and then lick her new little friends. Goldie is doing well with her potty-training and is almost completely potty-trained! She has not had any accidents since the beginning of June. Goldie is crate-trained. She didn't like the crate at first, but has learned that it's not so bad being crated. She will "complain" for a few minutes, but then settles down and goes to sleep. We would love for Goldie to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely. Goldie is up to date on her puppy shots and will need to be spayed when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this little cutie a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. Story
Meet Cedar: Cedar is a 9 week old (as of June 7, 2026) Catahoula mix (best guess) that weighs about 13 pounds. This sweet litter (Ivy, Elm, Oak, Asher and Cedar) was found living in the root system of a hollowed out tree in a park in Arkansas. The tree had Virginia Creeper climbing it and was the namesake of their mom, Virginia. Now, these babies are safely being fostered in the Lancaster, PA area and are looking for their forever homes! Cedar, and this full litter, is a group of very loving and playful pups! They are being socialized and getting love from lots of people as they grow. As a puppy, Cedar will need some patience while he works on his house training. We would love for Cedar to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Cedar is getting up to date on his puppy shots and will need to be neutered when age appropriate. If you are interested in giving this lucky little pup lots of love and a great life, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. NOTE: We believe Cedar could be a double merle and may have sight and hearing impairments. At this time he runs and plays well with his siblings and does not seem to have any issues. But further veterinary testing may be necessary in the future.   CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Home in Lancaster, PA 17601 License #17584 ##2722437##
