PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This strikingly handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Boone is a 2 year old mixed breed who is looking for a loving and accommodating home. We believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with some sort of bully breed, but we do not know for sure. Boone is very social and affectionate. He loves people and just wants to be the center of someone’s world. Boone thrives in a single dog home and does great with older kids. Boone does not care to bark much. He is house trained. Weighs about 55 pounds. Boone would be perfect for someone who is retired, works from home, or who could take him to work with them. Boone loves to go places and be included. He struggles with being crated and left alone, but has started to make progress with being left for very short amounts of time outside of a crate. Boones likes are car rides, tough chew bones, cuddles, The Lion King and being wrapped up in a blanket. He likes walks but needs a little practice and might try to chase a squirrel if he sees one. Boone is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Story
This handsome boy is Blaze. He was rescued in February 2025 from a litter of 10 born under an abandoned house/shed. Animal Control picked up the sire and mother dog and 9 of the pups. They were all euthanized the same day. Not because they did anything wrong, but because the shelter was full. Blaze was the only one rescued. He has been fostered in a home since his rescue. He has socialized with the teenage boys in the neighborhood and interacted with them playing ball as a puppy. He has been taught to sit on command and fetch his ball. He resides in a kennel on the patio and has a fenced backyard for exercise. He gets along well with the small Yorkshire terrier in the adjacent fenced yard. Blaze has had minimal leash training due to his strength. He is really just too strong for his foster to have good control of him. He is familiar with a harness and leash, he just needs some training to not pull and to be more gentle. Blaze loves to play ball and chase squirrels and birds out of the yard. This young, sweet boy desperately wants affection and training. He is smart and eager to learn, he just hasnt been given many opportunities so far. He responds exceptionally well to any affection offered to him. He would crawl in your lap and snuggle you for hours if allowed to. He is moderately energetic and craves mental stimulation. He would do best with an active family who will give him the physical and mental stimulation he needs. We believe he would love kids, but he would probably be best with older, sturdy kids, only because he doesn't know his size and strength and could easily knock over a little one. Blaze is 1 year old and weighs 62 lbs. He may still grow a little more, but probably won't exceed 75 lbs once mature. He really just needs a chance. In the right hands, Blaze will be an incredible dog. We do not know his breed for sure. He is likely a mix of many breeds.  He is neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.  Blaze is located in Arkansas. He can be adopted locally, but transport is available to the New England area as well. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them in PA, NY, or CT on Saturdays. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. Story
Meet Osito!Osito is an 1 year old bundle of joy, weighing in at around 45 pounds. This handsome pup is a perfect mix of playful energy and sweet snuggles! We believe he’s a Bluetick and Rat Terrier mix, and he’s got the best traits of both breeds—smart, spirited, and full of love.Osito adores playing with his siblings, chasing after toys, and will happily join you on a run or romp around the yard. He’s full of puppy energy and charm, and always ready to make you laugh with his goofy antics. He’s a social butterfly who gets along well with people, kids, and even tries to befriend the cats in his foster home (though they’re not quite as excited as he is—lol!). Treats are his love language, and being the center of attention is his favorite pastime.Osito is ready for a forever family who can keep up with his playful spirit, shower him with love, and maybe toss a ball or two. Could that be you?Osito is located in Houston, Texas. Transport to most states available for an additional fee of $300.
