Story
Oh Ramona.... The sweet girl is the sister to Roxy and two male pups that were previously adopted out. Imani was pulled from a rural shelter after being placed on the Code Red List. Needless to say, she walked out and has been living her best life ever since. Imani lives in a foster with other pups and cats and she's done great with all of them. Imani is learning her best manners. She's learning to walk on a leash, working on house training, is crate trained, and is working on her confidence building. She does well with other pups though and is working on sharing. She is an absolute peach and warms up quickly once she knows you. Imani is also learning how to cuddle with best of them. If you're wanting a gorgeous young pup that's going to be on the larger side, Imani could be the one for you. Please let is know by completing an app here: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form and we'll forward it to her foster pawrent who can answer any additional questions and provide more pictures. ==================================================================================== If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN PENNSYLVANIA AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Story
Winnie is a very happy, spunky 6 month old Catahoula mix who loves to play more than anything else! Well, she loves her humans too! Sprinting around the yard chasing other puppies is her fav activity, but she enjoys fetching toys too. Very well socialized, she gets along great with all dogs, my cats and oh so loves when children come to visit. Already spayed, kennel trained, doggy door mastered and uses pads on inclement weather days. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her cross? Happy should be her middle name. Such a sweet girl, she is waiting patiently to meet her new family. She is located in Central Arkansas, but we use a transport to the northeast every two weeks. Ask for videos of her today. For more information please message Tonya at 870-318-4161 or email t.maloy@yahoo.com Applications at helprescueark.org

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.3/16/24 Troika is a gorgeous little catahoula girl who was found in a cemetery, presumably dumped there. We believe her leg was caught in a trap of some sort and it is now deformed. We have had our vet examine the leg and he did not recommend amputation, as she did use it a little bit, it is not painful, and it has formed a callous, so it's presence is not hurting anything. Our vet felt that it would be an unnecessary surgery, so we opted to leave it alone. I will say it is adorable how she uses the leg to 'wave' when she gets excited. Troika is currently enrolled in the Paws in Prison program where she is paired with an inmate, working everyday with the inmate on basic training. When she is done the program, she will have her Canine Good Citizen certificate. It's an amazing program! She will graduate from the program the first week of May and at that time will be ready to go to her forever home! Troika is incredibly affectionate. She loves everyone she meets and is a friendly little girl. She gets along well with other dogs, but is very vocal with them, which could be mistaken by another dog for aggression, so she needs a dog companion who is not hyper reactive. She doesn't mean any harm, but she can be quite mouthy, as most catahoulas are. Troika is fostered with several other dogs and she does very well with them. She is about 7 months old and weighs about 40 lbs. She is housetrained and crate trained. Troika is not great with cats!  Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations.
