PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This strikingly handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Boone is a 2 year old mixed breed who is looking for a loving and accommodating home. We believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with some sort of bully breed, but we do not know for sure. Boone is very social and affectionate. He loves people and just wants to be the center of someone’s world. Boone thrives in a single dog home and does great with older kids. Boone does not care to bark much. He is house trained. Weighs about 55 pounds. Boone would be perfect for someone who is retired, works from home, or who could take him to work with them. Boone loves to go places and be included. He struggles with being crated and left alone, but has started to make progress with being left for very short amounts of time outside of a crate. Boones likes are car rides, tough chew bones, cuddles, The Lion King and being wrapped up in a blanket. He likes walks but needs a little practice and might try to chase a squirrel if he sees one. Boone is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. In New England.  To apply-https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 Message us or email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. Story
If you’re interested in adopting Honey, apply here: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/CPAR/Dog Honey is a 10-month-old, 76 lb girl with a big personality and so much to offer. Found as a stray in a grocery store parking lot in Puerto Rico, she’s traded in survival mode for the good life and is now thriving as a happy, loved pup. She’s potty trained and perfectly content hanging out in her crate with the door open, choosing it as her cozy space. Leash walking is still a work in progress, so she’ll need a family committed to helping her build confidence and skills there. And in true Honey fashion—she comes with a fun surprise… this girl can climb trees! Because of that, she’d do best in a home with a secure privacy fence to keep her safe while she enjoys outdoor time. Honey is great with dogs, cats, and kids, making her a wonderful addition to many types of homes. She’s still very much a puppy, so she’ll need continued guidance and training—but she’s smart, eager, and full of potential. Her personality is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy. She’ll make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and then melt your heart right after. Honey is the kind of dog who brings both fun and love into a home in a big way. PLEASE READ: Any dog that is house or potty trained will still need patience in a new home with new people and a new schedule. Please be ready to train ANY dog you adopt! Also, please understand we can not guarantee breed or full grown size of any young dog or puppy. Thank you for understanding.

Story
Mae Mae Mae Mae is approximately a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is absolutely beautiful and reminds you of a small deer. Mae Mae is as sweet as can be. If you are looking for a low maintenance, couch loving, tv watching, sometimes plays with toys dog, then she is your go to girl. Mae Mae was found in an abandoned building with a severely broken leg which had to be amputated. She is still a resilient girl after all that she has been through. Mae Mae spends her days being lazy on the couch and looking out the window to be apart of the neighborhood watch. Mae Mae is housebroken; she also uses the doggy door in her foster home. Mae Mae knows some commands and if you tell her to go to her crate, she will go in without repetitive asking. Mae Mae sometimes plays with toys and/or chews on bones. Mae Mae loves to be around her people. Mae Mae does not let having three legs dampen her spirit at all. Mae Mae loved playing in the snow we had, will run around the backyard, jump on the bed and sprawl out and roll around when she is happy. Mae Mae is now ready to find her furever home. Mae Mae is currently fostered with other dogs. Mae Mae will need someone who is a leader and will keep that leadership role in the home. Of course with any dog, the decompression stage is very important, as well as slow introductions and understanding. Story
Current Location: Littlestown, PA Meet Merry Mistletoe Merry Mistletoe is a 3 yr old, 32 lb Catahoula Shepherd mix with a gentle soul, a sweet and tender heart, and a whole lot of blooming left to do. She is the kind of girl who makes you want to move slowly, speak softly, and earn every small moment of trust she offers. And when she gives it, it means everything. She came from a home where she was genuinely loved. Her previous owner adored her and brought her to work just to keep her close. But life circumstances meant that Merry could not get everything she needed to truly come into her own, and finding that environment is exactly what she deserves now. Merry has no history of anything but pure sweetness. But the world can feel like a big and overwhelming place for her at times. Men and children in particular can cause her to shrink and shake, and she carries some separation anxiety that tells you just how deeply she bonds with the people she loves. She is simply a sensitive girl who needs someone patient enough to show her, one gentle moment at a time, that she is safe. She has her own quiet way of asking for reassurance. A gentle pet under the chin settles her, calms her breathing, and reminds her that everything is okay. It is a small thing that means the world to her and the person who learns that language is going to feel very lucky indeed. Merry gets along beautifully with other dogs and is perfectly comfortable around farm animals including cows, with little to no prey. She walks nicely on a leash, enjoys car rides, and has a calm and willing nature that makes her a genuine joy to be around once she feels secure. She is looking for a calm and patient home, ideally without young children or men who are unfamiliar with dogs that are learning to be confident, where she can decompress and gradually discover who she really is. A confident dog friend in the home would be a wonderful bonus. She needs encouragement, consistency, and the kind of steady quiet love that tells a dog every single day that they are not going anywhere. Merry Mistletoe has so much sweetness in her. She just needs the right person to help her find it. This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Read about heartworm disease here: Read more about heartworm disease at https://www.heartwormsociety.org/pet-owner-resources/heartworm-basics

Story
Current Location: Midlothian, VA MEET Jonesy! A SWEET LOW ENERGY BOY! I'm a sweet chill boy that lives for love, affection and belly rubs. I am not pushy! I'm not the one jumping up demanding your attention. I'm waiting quietly to put my head in your lap and thank you with gentle kisses. I'm a gentle, sensitive soul. ✨ Housetrained ✨ Crate-trained ✨ Good with dogs ✨ Good with cats ✨ Sweet, soft, and submissive I'm a little shy at first with new people and new environments. Once I feel safe, my sweet personality shines through. Because of my sensitive nature, I would do best with a confident dog friend to help show me the ropes in new situations. I love fluffy and squeaky toys and enjoy a good game of tug a war with my dog sister. I love to hangout in the backyard. I'm not afraid to go out to potty in the rain, snow or when the neighbor is running the obnoxious leaf blower (like my foster sister). I prefer a quiet neighborhood in suburbia or rural setting with a fenced yard to do an occasional zoomie or chase the ball. I came north from a shelter in Alabama to find my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab because this cuteness won't be around for long!
