Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. This strikingly handsome boy is looking for his forever home! Boone is a 2 year old mixed breed who is looking for a loving and accommodating home. We believe he is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mixed with some sort of bully breed, but we do not know for sure. Boone is very social and affectionate. He loves people and just wants to be the center of someone’s world. Boone thrives in a single dog home and does great with older kids. Boone does not care to bark much. He is house trained. Weighs about 55 pounds. Boone would be perfect for someone who is retired, works from home, or who could take him to work with them. Boone loves to go places and be included. He struggles with being crated and left alone, but has started to make progress with being left for very short amounts of time outside of a crate. Boones likes are car rides, tough chew bones, cuddles, The Lion King and being wrapped up in a blanket. He likes walks but needs a little practice and might try to chase a squirrel if he sees one. Boone is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Story
Mae Mae Mae Mae is approximately a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback and is absolutely beautiful and reminds you of a small deer. Mae Mae is as sweet as can be. If you are looking for a low maintenance, couch loving, tv watching, sometimes plays with toys dog, then she is your go to girl. Mae Mae was found in an abandoned building with a severely broken leg which had to be amputated. She is still a resilient girl after all that she has been through. Mae Mae spends her days being lazy on the couch and looking out the window to be apart of the neighborhood watch. Mae Mae is housebroken; she also uses the doggy door in her foster home. Mae Mae knows some commands and if you tell her to go to her crate, she will go in without repetitive asking. Mae Mae sometimes plays with toys and/or chews on bones. Mae Mae loves to be around her people. Mae Mae does not let having three legs dampen her spirit at all. Mae Mae loved playing in the snow we had, will run around the backyard, jump on the bed and sprawl out and roll around when she is happy. Mae Mae is now ready to find her furever home. Mae Mae is currently fostered with other dogs. Mae Mae will need someone who is a leader and will keep that leadership role in the home. Of course with any dog, the decompression stage is very important, as well as slow introductions and understanding. Story
We are very sadly rehoming our dog Bo. He is unfortunately not getting along with our other dog, and is initiating a fight with him on a couple occasions all of a sudden. Usually brought on by another barking dog (either outdoors or on the tv). When the dogs are separated he behaves fine around dogs that are not in the home. He is a very sweet loving dog who loves to cuddle and be outside. He is quite high energy for his age of 11. He knows basic commands but is very food/treat motivated. He does get along great with our 18 month old. He may be a better fit for an experienced dog owner with other dogs, but preferably a home with no dogs. Bo also does not have any immediate health concerns, but does have a few lumps and skin tags. I can and will provide all shot records. He is up to date on everything and microchipped.

These pups are in York, Pennsylvania too!

Story
Hi, I’m Oso! Once I get comfortable, I’m a playful, affectionate guy who loves exploring, toys, yard time, and hanging out with my people. I’ve been showing everyone at the shelter just how much progress I’ve made — I recently went on a Dogs’ Day Out and impressed everyone with how calmly I walked on leash, passed strangers, other dogs, and even small animals without much reaction at all. I’m curious about the world and enjoy sniffing everything around me, but I also tire out pretty quickly and am happiest just relaxing after some fun. I can be nervous meeting new people at first and sometimes need a little time, treats, and patience to warm up, but once I trust you, I’m a sweet, goofy boy who loves affection and being part of the adventure. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537

Story
Current Location: Sykesville, MD Meet Scully 💕 1 to 2 year-old, handsome, sweet guy. He's got a big heart and a happy-go-lucky attitude. He is a silly boy that loves to play with anyone or any thing that will play with him. Even though Scully is an adult dog he acts like a 50 lb puppy. So he will need an active family and maybe another dog to play with. He likes walks, is friendly to EVERYONE he meets, does well in public places, and love to play with toys. He is great in his crate and snores the night away inside. He is also crated during the day without issue. He has been a big brother to several puppies in his foster home and is always gentle with them. He even lets them win at tug o' war. He is best in a home with another smaller dog and with a fenced yard as he needs to run and play. We are working on him NOT jumping on people, and he can be very mouthy especially when excited. He will need consistency in training to stop these 2 behaviors. He would do best in a family with older children as he does not realize his size or strength. So if you want a "Big Boy" who will happily ride in your truck and hang out in the park or cafe with you, then adopt this sweet, trusting, ingenuous dog today. - Good with dogs, puppies and little dogs - Good with cats - Crate trained - Potty trained - Very lovable and playful - Would do best in a home with a fenced yard - Prefers smaller dogs to be friends with (bigger dogs kinda scare him...lol)
