Story
Rocco we got him at 6 weeks old in Florida, he just turned 1 on Aril 17th. We had a big fenced in yard he love to run. We have moved to Lebanon Tn. just the end of February and my husband has become very ill and I have very bad knees myself and Rocco has knocked me down twice now not really his fault just wants to play. This is why we must surrender him to a good family that can play with him he is crate trained and potty trained it’s not fair to him he’s a good dog. We have had many dogs in our family as my kids grow up 4 at one time from small dogs to the largest was a Rottweiler that I had to put down after 12 years bad hips couldn’t get up any longer

These pups are in Cookeville, Tennessee too!

Story
Tyson is a loving, loyal 7-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a heart full of experience and kindness. He found himself at the shelter through no fault of his own—his previous family sadly became homeless and could no longer care for him, despite their deep love for him. Tyson is the definition of a well-rounded companion. He was reported to be dog, cat, and kid friendly. He has been in several different playgroups while at the shelter and has done well with other dogs. Outside he is a wild child full of energy, but when in his kennel he is calm, gentle, and well-mannered. This sweet boy still has so much love to give and is hoping for a second chance at a forever home where he can enjoy his golden years surrounded by warmth, care, and stability. Good with Dogs: Yes- has done well with other dogs of similar energy level Good with Kids: Yes Good with Cats: Previous owner reported yes. COURTESY LISTINGThis dog is a courtesy listing (not in the AARF program) but we will be reviewing applications and helping the owner find the right home for Dalton. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Meet Dalton – Your New Best Friend (and Couch Buddy). Dalton is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Pit mix with a heart of gold and the soul of an old friend. At 65 lbs, he’s a gentle guy who’s been through some things (his scars tell a story we’ll never know), but all he wants now is to be close to someone who loves him. Dalton isn’t into toys or roughhousing—his idea of a good time is a leisurely walk followed by quality time on the couch (preferably in your lap). He’s chill, affectionate, and hilariously “talkative”—you’ll swear he speaks English. He lets you know when he needs to go out, and he’ll remind you if you miss the cue! He’s great with other dogs, respectful of cats when told to leave them be, and kind with kids, he just prefers not the rough-and-tumble type. Thunderstorms aren’t his favorite, but a little medication helps him ride them out like a champ. Dalton is fully vetted, neutered, and ready for his forever home. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who just gets you, Dalton’s your guy.  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. April 22, 2025, 8:29 am
