Story
Meet Dragonfly! Dragonfly is a young adult, Shepherd–Catahoula mix with a big heart and even bigger puppy energy. She is crate trained, house trained, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs and children. Her compatibility with cats is still unknown.
Dragonfly loves to play hard, especially with dogs who can match her enthusiasm. Because she’s still young and learning, her play style may be a bit much for very small dogs or toddlers. Inside the home, she’s working on understanding when it’s time to play and when it’s time to settle — and she’s already making great progress. She’s smart, eager to learn, and picks up new routines quickly.
This girl would thrive with an active family who enjoys hiking, long walks, or has a yard where she can run, chase a ball, and burn off her puppy energy. After playtime, she’s incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. Dragonfly is ready to become someone’s loyal, loving companion.
Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and schedule individual adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
