Mina

Rottweiler Mutt

Female, Adult
Greenbrier, AR
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
5 year old rottweiler mix with separation anxiety, who needs rehomed urgently. In addition to separation anxiety, Mina is scared of storms (she has a storm jacket that helps, will happily give that to whoever can take her in) and can be anxious around new people, so she may take a little bit to feel comfortable in a new home. We are unable to keep her due to traveling for work, and not being able to take her with. She does not do well with small dogs or cats, she may do well with other big dogs with training, patience, and proper introduction. She's fixed, up to date on shots, and does have a vet prescription for meds to help with her anxiety. She'd do best as an only pet in a home where her owner(s) don't often leave on overnight trips - she does okay if you're gone during the day at work, but starts panicking if left alone overnight. She's a sweet dog who needs an understanding, loving home to give her the companionship she deserves.

Story
Solo was surrendered to a local shelter in North Little Rock Arkansas as a newborn single puppy. The shelter informed the surrendering party that he would be euthanized because the shelter was not set up to bottle feed a puppy. They surrendered him anyway. The clock was ticking and we were thankfully able to see the post and locate a bottle feeder in time to save him. He’s been bottle fed since day one and is working on crate training, using a doggy door, potty training, and socializing with other dogs. He’s an absolute sweetheart and delight. He has the gentle bond with humans that comes with bottle feeding. If you’re looking for a puppy that is going to grow up and be a big part of your family (expected 80-100lbs). This sweet boy is for you!. The results came back ad Rottweiler, supermutt, Lab, and Shepard.

Story
So, as you can see I am a BIG BIG GUY(130#)!!! Like the German Rotties, I have a BIG old HEAD and a propensity to protect my people....... I need just the right home, no other dogs please. I was not socialized with other dogs while growing up and am a big boy and so introducing to other dogs is a challenge for the rescuers and therefore we are looking for a single dog home. I am a very typical rottie and was kept as a protector of the property. I LOVE my people and honestly would love to be a lap dog, lol, but I also need a couple or single who is a strong leader, who really understands my breed and who will assure that I stay safe and others do as well. Now, I have a sweet and loving side, and my friends love that about me ;) But look at my face, without my toothy grin, and you know they understand that I am a serious guy :) I love my peeps and am ready for just the right place. I can only be adopted in TX and HAVE to be met and introduced and spend time with me before the rescue will approve my adoption. So only the strong need apply!! You will get an AMAZING and DEDICATED and EXTREMELY LOYAL DOG! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX only)

Have you heard that Pepsi is better than Coke???? I am here to tell you, BELIEVE IT!!! Pepsi and I have A LOT in common... like our NAME! I am a sweet, dark chocolate drink of soda, with all the syrupy kissing and hugging that go along with it! I am also deaf, yes, you HEARD me, I cannot hear YOU... but that sure doesn't slow me down! Have you ever tried to learn sign language? I would LOVE to learn some with you :) I mean, how many deaf people do you have to say... SIT to?? NONE! But you can teach me ANY kind of signal for SIT, KISS, SNACK, HUG.... and I will be GLAD to learn it! So if you have ever wanted a rottweiler with a super special personality and special trait?? I AM YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!!!! I am good with other dogs, play hard and will nap hard with you too. So adopt me soon, I look forward to my world opening up for me with YOU and YOUR FAMILY!!! Story
Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST! Just like a Twix bar, I am super sweet, a little salty, and really ooey gooey! I was found when I was only 10 months old and brought to God’s Dogs Rescue. I was adopted shortly after but returned due to being a snarky teenager and showing tenacity and energy common with my breeds. Training would have been key! Anyway, since coming back, I have spent almost *4.5 years* living on GDR's ranch property in Texas. I’ve been overlooked all this time and it’s time for that to change! I have now been in a foster home for ~8 months. It took some time to adjust to being indoors again but I have learned the wonders of ✨air conditioning✨. It also took time to adjust to “less dogs” but I‘m loving my newfound personal space. There are other dogs in my foster home but, at my age, I prefer dogs that match my low energy. I would even be fine as the only dog. Certainly no cats or other small animals for me! I still have a tinge of that independent/stubborn streak from my youth but, at the end of the day, I am a BIG LOVER! I get so excited, wiggly, and bouncy with my foster mom. She gives the best hugs and back scratches, I give the best hair tumbleweeds. I shed A LOT! While living at the rescue, they took great care of me...too good, honestly. I put on a lot of weight but have now slimmed down some, too! I am eating less and getting joint supplements every day to continue working on my figure. I am a generally lazy guy but I am amazing on a leash and love to go on walks. More consistent exercise will help with my weight loss. I still have plenty of pep in my step (especially when I‘m on the hunt for squirrels) so don’t let my age or size fool you. I am so ready for my new AND FINAL home! I will melt your heart when you look into my caramel eyes and sweet, chocolatey soul. Don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
