I took such good care of them that we all survived until we thankfully were found and made it to Guardians of Florida Animal Rescue. I am a very sweet, friendly, happy girl with all of the humans at the rescue. It seems I'm a bit dog selective so a meet and greet with any current fur babies is important to make sure we get a proper introduction. I've watched all of my babies find homes and have been waiting patiently for my forever family to find me...I hope they come and take me home soon!I'm estimated at around three and a half years old and last weighed in at 65 lbs. We can't be sure of my mix, but my rescue sees Rottweiler and Greater Swiss Mountain Dog in me. I seem to be housebroken, but it is hard to tell for sure in a kennel environment. I walk very well on a leash and know how to sit and take treats gently.My adoption fee has been fully sponsored, and I am up to date on my vetting, vaccinations, deworming, microchip, heartworm test (negative), and spay. This is Bertha. She is 3 years old. She has hip displasia and arthritis in her knees. Right now she isn’t in any kind of pain but her quality of life is expected to worsen with her condition. To create longevity in her health, it’s best to get her on a nutritional diet supporting joint & bone health. But when I say this doesn’t affect her in the slightest I mean it. She likes to play just like any other dog. So, it would be up to you to limit her physical activities & duration because she will push herself beyond what her body can do. This girl is full of love and does very well with other dogs. She is so affectionate and sweet! She is completely house/crate trained (I will happily give you her orthopedic dog bed, crate and toys!) and she even knows a few tricks! There’s something special about Bertha. Hello! My name is Lady. Somehow, I wound up in municipal county animal services place. The angels at GOFAR heard about me and came and rescued me.I appear to be a boxer and/or mastiff mix and weigh approximately 60lbs. I am very sweet and well behaved - I think that’s how I got my name! I walk well on leash and follow the pace the volunteers set. I know how to sit and take treats gently. I really don’t like messing in my kennel; as long as we can work together to set a routine/schedule, I should do fine in the house. I am friendly with other dogs and did well in play groups with larger dogs - my rescue thinks I'd be best suited for homes without smaller high energy dogs. I don’t seem to mind the rescue cats I see on my walks! I have such a gentle and easy going personality, that the rescue thinks I would be fine in a family with children. I am looking for my furever family- someone that will love and care for me the same way I will for them.
