I’m so thankful for Big Dog Ranch Rescue and the kind people who brought me to safety and showed me that not all humans hurt. Now I’m learning what it feels like to be loved. I enjoy playing with other dogs and I walk nicely on a leash. Because of my past, I can be a little guarded around my food—I’m still learning that I’ll never go hungry again. For now, I do best being fed separately, and that’s okay. I hope one day those memories will fade. What I want most is a family who understands me, who will give me patience, kindness, and all the food, love, and affection I could ever ask for. I promise to give my whole heart in return. I am looking for a new home for my 2-year-old female Rottweiler. She is incredibly sweet and loving, but she is consistently fighting with one of the other female dogs in our household. For the safety of both dogs and our kids, we need to find her a separate home where she can truly thrive. She is not generally dog-aggressive, and she successfully lives and gets along great with our male Rottweiler and our smaller female beagle. She may need a home without another dominant female dog. She is Spayed (fixed), up-to-date on vaccinations, and healthy. She is very affectionate with people, playful, and smart. She is good with kids and loves toys. She chews a lot, but if she has toys she does not typically chew on things she’s not supposed to. An ideal home would be with would likely be where she is the only pet, with a compatible male dog, or a smaller, submissive dog (proper introductions are a must). No dominant female dogs.
