Story
Hello friends! My name is Dior, and I'm a 9-month-old Rottweiler mix who currently weighs 35.7 pounds. I'm proud to mention that I'm house- and crate- trained! I'd thrive in a home where I'd get plenty of exercise and activity for my body and my mind.  A fenced-in yard would be great, but is not required. I love every person I meet...in fact, my middle name should be "Friendly!" I met a 7 year old recently and my foster mom said I did great. I adore people and just want to be loved - sometimes I forget my manners and need to be reminded to keep my paws on the ground. As for dogs, I am a little bit picky about who I like.  My foster mom has noticed I tend to like dogs my size or smaller.  I've been around a cat and think she's pretty cool! Although I sleep in a crate in my foster mom's bedroom, I love taking an occasional nap in her bed. When I'm awake, I love playing with toys and chewing on bones. I'm happy playing by myself or with my person. My foster mom describes me as "a loving, energetic girl" and says other nice things about me: "She knows 'sit' and is learning 'stay.' Her favorite things are to snuggle up with her person, giving kisses, and car rides." If you're looking for an active canine companion who loves people, I might be the perfect friend for you! Please arrange to meet me today. My minimum adoption fee is $325 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. I have been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
This handsome boy is Frankie.  He's a 2 year old Rottweiler Mix who is big, goofy, and sweet!  He loves to give kisses and loves to play with his Foster's dog.  He hasn't been introduced to children or small dogs yet, but he does tend to jump and gets very excited when let out of his crate.  This silly boy doesn't realize his size and may accidentally knock a small child over. He loves to chew on bones and play with toys.  He is very treat motivated.   He does well on walks, but can be strong on the leash when he sees a squirrel or smells something he wants to investigate. He is friendly, outgoing, happy, and playful. Frankie is progressing with house training. He does well in his crate and settles pretty quickly.  He keeps a clean crate.  There are cats in his foster home.  He will occasionally chase it, but they coexist well. His minimum adoption fee is $295  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.  He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:   http://fs16.formsite.com/WishBoneCanineRescue/adoptionapplication/index.html For information about this dog's breed(s), visit: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm Wish Bone Canine Rescue  1303 Morrissey Drive Bloomington, IL 61701 www.wishbonecaninerescue.org           Since its our desire that you have a pet you can enjoy a lifetime of love with you, we take special measures to ensure that the pet is the best match for you and your family.  We require that you complete our online www.wishbonecaninerescue.org (Please give us 24 hours to verify your information). Story
King came to the shelter because his family moved to a county that did not allow his breed. He is just a wonderful boy. At a young age King had a severe leg injury that did not heal correctly and he does has a noticable limp but that doesn't stop him in the least. Due to this injury he will need to be on medications for the rest of his life. He must also go to a home with children over the age of 15 that understand his discomfort with handling his knee area. If you're looking for a big loveable sweetheart he's the one. Please stop by to meet this handsome fella.

Story
Kota is a friendly, happy, and playful girl who loves to run laps around the yard. She will play on her own but loves to play tackle and toy keep away with her foster siblings. She would enjoy a nice sized yard to run around and play in or someone that will be active with her. She has the cutest bouncy ears! Kota does bark at new people and needs a bit to acclimate to them. But once she knows they are ok, she is happy and friendly.  She also barks when there is a new or unexpected sound. So she would not be a fit for apartment or shared wall life. She would benefit from someone willing to help her meet new situations in a calmer manner. She is a smart girl who is easy to train and is treat motivated to make it easy! May 29, 2023, 9:39 am
