Story
Meet Moore! A healthy Rottweiler mix who just turned 2 years old, weighing in at 67 lbs. Moore is an energetic boy who will thrive with an active household, as well as some guidance on basic obedience. We aren't 100% sure how much he knows about house-training or crate-training, but he keeps a clean run at his current home at the shelter. With a little love and patience, he's going to make a wonderful family member!  Although Moore is extremely smart, he has not had much training prior to coming to us, so he is still perfecting his manners and basic commands. He is eager to please so with a little consistency, he will be little gentleman! Moore has not been exposed to children yet, but we believe he'll do better with kids that are a little older, so he doesn't accidentally knock them over in his excitement. He has been known to play with similar sized dogs - but he does have a very rough and tumble play style, so he will need equally playful and energetic canine companions. This guy is friendly, outgoing, confident, adaptable, happy, playful, and loyal all day long! Moore is a total lovebug. He loves spending time with his people and he would follow them around all day if he could. He LOVES car rides and being outside. He walks fairly well on a leash too! He loves playing with toys, but he does require supervision since he can easily shred his stuffies. He is high energy and would benefit from a family with an active lifestyle. His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives. Story
Lava arrived at TAPS with her pups and they have all been adopted and ready for a family of her very own. Lava has been on several outings outside of the shelter and everyone has the same feedback - Lave ADORES people - adults, children, people of any age, she wants to be give kisses and be showered with love. She rides well in the car and she gives cues when she has to potty so she seems to be potty trained. She could also use some leash manners too. Lave does appear to be dog selective so we'd have to try a dog intro if you have other dogs in the home. We did a cat test in a controlled environment and Lava didn't do great. We would probably suggest a home with no cats to set her up for success. Adoption Fee: $100Estimated Date of Birth: 1/11/22Intake reason - Transfer InAnimal will be spayed and up to date on vaccines, and microchipped prior to adoption. If their kennel card on display at TAPS shelter facility is marked as unaltered, the animal will be altered prior to being released for adoption. Animal stage may change from time to time based on surgery and medical status. TAPS strives to keep kennel cards as up to date as possible with current information but from time to time, information may change and a new kennel card may be pending. Full and current vaccination schedule and medical records along with any behavioral disclosures will be provided at time of adoption.

Story
Roxy is thought to be a 1 year old rottweiler/heeler mix. Her foster parents have this to say: She is good with dogs of all sizes. She is curious about cats but doesn't try to hurt them. She is very active and has a lot of energy. She loves to play with toys and spends time playing in a small kiddy pool outside. I think she will be okay around children but I suggest they be older due to Roxy's energy. I don't want little kids knocked down or scratched if jumped on. Roxy is very loving and likes to cuddle. She likes car rides, playing fetch, and she likes getting  a bath. She is doing good with potty training but does need to stick to a routine. She is very smart and catches on with training, she just needs some patience and consistency. She sleeps in her kennel all night long. She will be a good walking/running companion with a little practice. If you want an active dog for your active family, Roxy would be a great fit! Roxy's $300 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, and microchip registration. You can apply at  https://gfrpets.org/apply/adoptdog/ ##1769403##
