Story
Louie was rescued in honor of Eloise, a sweet senior we recently had to say goodbye to.  Louie is a 10 month old bundle of love, weighing in at a perfect 45 lbs. While he might grow a little more, we don't expect him to be much bigger. This charming pups gets along well with other dogs, and while we are still learning about his feeling towards cars, he proving to be an affectionate and adaptable companion.  Louie adores giving kisses cuddling up close, and showing off his smarts, he's eager to please and highly trainable! We can already tell he'd love adventures and will make a fantastic travel buddy, especially since he's such a good boy in the car! If you want to make Louie a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org/adoptThe shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
