Story
Otis is a 4 1/2-year-old, 145-pound Rottweiler with a giant heart who is looking for a fresh start. His story with Fur Fun Rescue began before his eyes were even open. Otis came into rescue at just 8 days old after his mom, Sasha, gave birth to her puppies while in the care of Cedar Rapids Animal Care and Control. He was raised in a loving foster home before being adopted at 11 weeks old. Otis spent the next several years as a much-loved family member. Sadly, life took an unexpected turn. After losing his canine brother to cancer, Otis's mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer and later passed away. His dad then lost his home, making the heartbreaking decision to return Otis to rescue. It was a tremendous amount of change for one dog, and it took him a little while to find his footing again. Today, Otis is ready to focus on the future. He's a happy, affectionate boy who loves spending time with his people. Tug-of-war is one of his favorite games, and he's undefeated! He also loves splashing around in his baby pool, dropping his toys into the water just so he can fish them back out again. Because of his size, we're looking for a home where Otis can be the only dog. He has adjusted well to being the center of attention and would love a family all to himself. A physically fenced yard is required so he has plenty of room to safely run, play, and enjoy his favorite activities. At 145 pounds, Otis isn't just a dog...he's a lifestyle. He firmly believes personal space is overrated, one couch should comfortably seat one Rottweiler (with humans squeezing in wherever they fit), and every game of tug-of-war ends exactly the way he planned it. If your home has room for one oversized best friend with an even bigger heart, Otis is ready to claim half your yard, most of your couch, and all of your heart. Otis is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Apply to meet Otis at www.furfunrescue.org If you have questions, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must be within a two-hour drive of Cedar Rapids, IA. Otis is looking for an indoor home. Adoption fee $300.

River is a handsome boy who is ready to find an active family to call his own! He is house trained, crate trained, and has a friendly personality that makes him a joy to have around. He gets along well with other dogs, does great with kids, and has shown potential to live successfully with cats given proper introductions and supervision. Story
London is a happy, playful girl with a friendly personality and a heart full of enthusiasm. She loves being around both people and other dogs, and her cheerful attitude makes her a joy to spend time with. Whether she's playing with canine friends or soaking up attention from her favorite humans, London is happiest when she's part of the action. This affectionate girl is highly treat motivated, making her an excellent candidate for continued training. She already takes treats nicely and is eager to learn. With a little practice and positive reinforcement, London will likely pick up commands like "sit," "down," and other fun tricks in no time. Her willingness to engage and learn makes training both rewarding and enjoyable. London gets along well with other dogs, keeps her kennel clean, and would thrive in an active home that can provide daily exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of opportunities to continue building her skills. She enjoys affection just as much as she enjoys playtime, giving her a wonderful balance of energy and companionship. If you're looking for a smart, fun-loving companion who is ready to learn, explore, and be your loyal best friend, London could be the perfect addition to your family. With her friendly nature, playful spirit, and eagerness to please, she's ready to shine in a home of her very own.

Story
Mango is an incredibly sweet, gentle, calm, and well-behaved dog who loves being around people. She is affectionate, enjoys relaxing with her family, and has so much love to give. Unfortunately, she also has severe separation anxiety. Despite training, medication, and every effort to help her, being left alone causes her significant distress. When alone, she may panic, defecate, urinate, scratch or chew at doors and windows, and break through windows trying to get to her people. These behaviors are driven by anxiety, not aggression or disobedience. Mango needs a home where someone is home most or all of the time, such as someone who works from home, is retired, or has a household with people around throughout the day. This has been an incredibly difficult decision, but I want to give her the life she deserves with someone who can meet her needs and help her thrive.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Surgery done to repair broken elbow and FHO on left hip.Timmy’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. Now just a year old, this handsome pup came into rescue as a tiny puppy after enduring unthinkable cruelty at the hands of his owner that left him with a severely broken front elbow and damage to his left hip. Thanks to proper care (and justice being served), Timmy got the second chance he deserved. Much of his early life was spent confined while his fragile bones healed, but through it all, Timmy showed incredible strength and determination. Today, he’s left those painful days behind and is blossoming into a playful, curious young dog who’s eager to experience all the joys he missed out on as a pup! Timmy has worked hard to overcome his past and continues to grow more confident every day. He is regaining strength in his young body and will thrive with a continued active lifestyle that offers moderate exercise for his repaired hip joint. A fenced in yard will be great, but leash walking will also be great for Timmy!  Because of his past, he’ll thrive best with a patient, understanding adopter who can offer him a stable environment and give him the time he needs to settle in. Once he bonds with you, Timmy’s loyalty and sweetness truly shine and he's a friend for life! He’s now discovering how fun it is to play and enjoys spending time with other dogs, learning valuable social skills along the way. However, we do feel that Timmy would do best in a home without small animals or young children. Timmy has come so far and has so much love to give, he just needs the right person to join him on his journey! If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are willing to give him the loving home he deserves, Timmy might just be your perfect match. If you would like to meet Timmy, please submit an adoption application through our website, Adopthope.org.  Last Hope requires that adopters have a history of having kept any previous pets altered, as indoor pets only and kept current on annual vet visits and vaccines.  Our adoption process includes a vet history check and a home visit.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 18, 2026, 9:25 pm
