Story
Meet Anja… a 5-month-old Rottweiler puppy who currently weighs 54 pounds. We expect her to grow to be between 80 and 100 pounds as an adult. Anja came into rescue as a local owner surrender and is now getting the chance every puppy deserves — to learn, grow, and just be a dog. She does great with other dogs and would absolutely love a playful canine companion in her forever home. A large male would be ideal. Another dog will help her burn energy, build confidence, and be a role model. Anja is still very much a puppy. She is learning her basic commands, house manners, and how to manage her growing size and enthusiasm. Anja needs a family committed to raising and training her using positive reinforcement. This girl LOVES toys. Balls, stuffies, mystery objects she found five minutes ago… if it’s in the toy category, Anja is all in. She’s the kind of dog who will proudly parade around with her prize like she just won a championship. She will require a physically fenced yard where she can safely run and play. Anja is the kind of puppy who will thrive in a home that understands large breeds and is ready to put in the time to raise her right. In return, she’s going to be a loyal, loving companion who is always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing. If you’re ready for a big puppy with a bright future, Anja is ready to meet you. Anja is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. Her adopters will be responsible for spaying her at one year of age. If you’d like to meet Anja, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Anja you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $300

Story
- Fluffy, friendly pup who is friendly with everyone and everything - Loves cuddling and being a lap dog; loves food and treats - Spent time in a foster home and was learning to sit when he wants something - Foster family said he got a great start with potty training in their home; just remember that any pup may need time to get used to a new schedule - Does pretty well in the car but can be a little nervous if he's riding in a kennel - Has done well with children and other dogs - Wonderful little angel who has a lot of love to give! All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing at primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Brown Weight: 103 Age: 1yrs 2mths 1wks

Story
- Very sweet and friendly guy who just wants attention and love; can seem stoic at times, but enjoys being petted and being wherever people are - Knows sit- Can be startled when he's disturbed while resting, so he may benefit from having a separate area to sleep or rest - May be a bit socially awkward with other dogs; seems to prefer low-key dog friends, and may prefer to be the only dog in his new home (dog intro required)- We don't know his history with cats This pet qualifies for our 7-day Foster-to-Adopt program. If you're interested in fostering to adopt, please reach out to meetme@arl-iowa.org.All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and DA2PPV as appropriate for their age)The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Meet Liesl… a 5-month-old Rottweiler puppy who currently weighs 44 pounds. We expect her to grow to be between 80 and 100 pounds as an adult. Liesl came into rescue as a local owner surrender and is now getting the chance every puppy deserves — to learn, grow, and just be a dog. She does great with other dogs and would absolutely love a playful canine companion in her forever home. A large male would be ideal. Another dog will help her burn energy, build confidence, and be a role model. Liesl is already working on her basic commands and doing well, but she is still very much a puppy. She needs a family committed to raising and training her using positive reinforcement. Liesl is also doing well with potty training, though like any young puppy, she will need to be let out more frequently than an adult dog as she continues to learn. When her foster parents are gone, Liesl is kenneled. At night she upgrades to sleeping between her foster parents in bed. She will require a physically fenced yard where she can safely run and play. Liesl is the kind of puppy who will thrive in a home that understands large breeds and is ready to put in the time to raise her right. In return, she’s going to be a loyal, loving companion who is always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing. Story
Oh, hello there-I didn't see you! My name is Moose. I may not be as big as my name suggests, but I've definitely got the cute face to match it.I'm about 6 years old and a Rottweiler mix with a gentle heart, and I've been described as a total lovebug! I'm fully housetrained and have great manners-I walk nicely on a leash and know my basic commands like sit and shake. I'm also a big fan of playtime! Fetch and tug-of-war with a big rope are some of my absolute favorites.I get along well with other dogs and would love a canine buddy in my new home. I tend to ignore cats, but I'd still appreciate a proper introduction. As for kids, I can be a bit anxious around them, so slow, calm introductions would be best to help me feel comfortable.I'm just a sweet, well-behaved boy looking for my forever home where I can relax, play, and be your loyal companion. If I sound like the perfect fit for your family, come meet me-I'd love to say hello!$135.00 Fee includes initial vaccines, worming, microchip with registration, and free vet health exam. This pet has been fed Country Vet Naturals, donated to us by Country Vet. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 87 Age: 5yrs 10mths 1wks
