Oh SAAP’ers do I have a cutie for you!!  Where are my Rottie lovers that would prefer a smaller dog??  Meet Isa!  She is a 29 pound, 8 month old Rottie mix who is still settling in after her spay and tooth extractions today (retained baby teeth that needed to come out). Welcome Mary back to SAAP! &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143This chunky lady is a 5 year old Rottweiler. She is approximately 120 lbs but could stand to lose some weight.  &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143She is a little shy initially and can take a minute to warm up, but very sweet once she does! &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143She is housebroken and crate trained.  &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143 She is not a fan of cats but does good with other dogs who respect her space and match her energy. &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143She is good with kids that are a little bigger due to her size. &#226&#157&#163&#239&#184&#143Mary was found to have some thyroid issues upon her return and was started on meds, so adopter will need to follow up with labs in 6 weeks to check her levels. I’m a simple dog! I love a good bowl of kibble in the morning! I love a nice trot around the yard. I don’t like to lay on the couch for extended periods of time. I prefer to lay on the concrete floor next to the couch. It may have something to do with having a double coat? Either way I’m cool!!! And I know what you are going to say….. I have beautiful eyes!! I get that a lot. But don’t get the wrong idea I’m not a White Walker or anything(GoT fans you know what I’m talking about) I might look intimidating but I am a huge Teddy Bear of a dog and just a Bull in a china shop:) I don’t mind my crate! It’s quite comfy! I love Fosser dad. He takes me for walks and also watches football with me! He plays with me lots too! I like that! I love to walk and I’m a very nice walker. I love to be outside with everyone . I’m just a simple dog, looking for my forever home. I love little Hoomans but I am a bigger boy and strong but I’m gentle too. I love to give sloppy kisses and I love to cuddle on the couch and watch the news, a movie or whatever. I just want to be with you, and only you! I would rather not share my time with other dogs, especially smaller ones or any small animals for that matter. I just would rather be with you! I have been professionally trained. Ohhhhhhh Rottie lovers, do I have a treat for you! Raven was surrendered to the shelter due to her owner's health issues. When she first came to us, she was a bit timid - understandably nervous after losing the only home she's ever known. This poor girl came to us heartworm positive, but after a lot of meds, rest, and love, she is ready for a family of her own! Once adopted, it will be imperative for her forever family to keep up with her Heartworm Preventative. What we know about Raven: ‍&#226&#172&#155 6 year old female Rottweiler ‍&#226&#172&#155 Spayed ‍&#226&#172&#155 Up to date on shots and Heartworm preventative ‍&#226&#172&#155 Approx 75 lbs ‍&#226&#172&#155 Good with kids (We'd recommend older kids who respect the space of timid dogs)  ‍&#226&#172&#155 Good with dogs (We have 4 small dogs) ‍&#226&#172&#155 Good with cats (We're told) ‍&#226&#172&#155 House trained ‍&#226&#172&#155 Crate trained ‍&#226&#172&#155 Knows basic commands and listens well! (Unless there is a squirrel to chase!) ‍&#226&#172&#155 Walks well with minimal leash correction ‍&#226&#172&#155 Typical Rottweiler in that she is protective of her house once she settles in. We have had guests that she's met with no issues, but she will bark at passers by and pull on the leash if we are outside ‍&#226&#172&#155 Seasonal allergies - she came to us sneezing a ton, but that has cleared up by giving her daily Zyrtec ‍&#226&#172&#155 She needed sedated at our vet. To be fair, she had to receive 3 days of treatment at a vet she was unfamiliar with, and she was alone, without her family.
