Bellatrix is a sweet, affectionate, well mannered girl who loves bones and squeaky toys. She’s about 60lbs and is a slim, tall dog. Bellatrix is good with older kids; we expect she’d be fine with younger kids too, but she hasn’t ever met any to say for certain. She walks well on leash and rides politely in cars. This girl is a volunteer favorite! She will likely need a home with no other pets. Bellatrix came to SAAP in 2020 as a mama dog with her puppies. At that time, she got along with calm dogs in foster care, but she has lived as an only pet for the past 5 years and is no longer used to being around other animals. She will chase cats. Bellatrix is available for foster-to-adopt, so if you have a very calm dog, you could inquire about fostering her and try doing slow introductions to see if she could adapt to a new dog friend given some time. SAAP is happy to provide support and advice should you go this route. Bellatrix is house trained, spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date on flea/heartworm prevention. Desdemona is a people person! She loves to give you hugs and kisses and follow you all around the house. She is a medium energy girl and thrives with a balance of exercise and cuddle time. Desdemona originally came from a background where she didn't feel safe and did not have enough food. Because of this, she is leery of other animals and finds children frightening. At this time we are recommending she be adopted as an only pet to a home with no young children. Desdemona was potty trained for the past several years, but has regressed a little bit upon losing her stable home and coming back into foster care. We've found she does best if you stand outside with her in the yard until she does her business or walk her on leash. Desi really is a very sweet, loving girl. My landlord found out and now I have to get rid of both her son and Luna which I am devastated about but she is a wonderful loving calm dog she will lay down with you and walk around with you wherever you go she is crate trained, potty trained , spaded Im going to be kicked out by Saturday if I don;t find a home for them I can help out financially and I have a bed a crate leashes toys and everything to send with them or her Id really like to keep them together but I understand if you can only take one dog

Kane is a fantastic dog, I just can't keep him. He loves his squeaky toys, and tug of war. He is great at alerting you when someone is at your home. He loves cuddles and having no personal space. Lol This is my sister's dog, that she adopted from another home. She passed away a few months ago, and I have had him since May. I am moving and cannot keep him. He has loads of toys, and his own blanket special to him.
