Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rowdy.  Don’t let his name fool you because he is not a rowdy at all! Rowdy would be a great addition to any family: he is very affectionate and has perfect house manners.  Rowdy has no issues at all with being handled, having his paws wiped or ears cleaned,  and of course he loves being loved on! Rowdy walks well on leash and enjoys going out with his peeps, but he will also happily hang out with you on the couch for most of the day.  Yes, I am afraid a couch or easy chair is a requirement! Rowdy’s perfect world would include spending lots of time hanging out on a couch with his family - after a nice walk that is or some playtime in the backyard - Rowdy is getting along very well with the other dogs in his foster home and has been great with all dogs he has met while on walks.  Rowdy is okay being home alone while his foster family is out, no crate needed at all! Rowdy loves his food and treats and will be happy to learn new tricks with the help of them. He will chase away any pesky squirrels in the backyard and he is no friend of the meows, so no cats in the home, please. To sum it up: any family will be lucky to have this guy as a family member, however, due to his size and strength we recommend no cup-sized people and no tiny dogs in the home.  Apply for this amazing guy at 4theloveofdog.orgVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html November 17, 2025, 6:02 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. What's in a small package like me? Well... what you get is a slightly shy cuddly girl who - after ten minutes or so - will be your devoted shadow. You see, my backstory involves an over crowded rescue in Texas with 49 other dogs, and a lot of uncertainty. Now... the world is my oyster (tho in New England, it might be a quahog).  They're calling me a rottweiler mix. I'm 42 lbs of black & tan, but who knows if there's rottweiler in me? I live with children, cats and other dogs in my foster home. And I have good house manners, don't steal things that don't belong to me, and sleep through the night.  Are you looking for a quiet, devoted and calm family member under 50 lbs that you can walk on leash? Yup ... that's me.   Apply at 4theloveofdog.org and ask for AUGGIE.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html December 15, 2025, 10:11 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rubble is a big, lovable, go-with-the-flow guy who truly just wants to be wherever his people are. At around 3 years old, he has that perfect adult-dog energy — happy to snooze the day away if you let him, but always ready to tag along for an adventure. He’s calm, easygoing, and incredibly content just being part of your day.   He is the definition of a velcro dog. Rubble adores attention, has absolutely no concept of personal space, and would happily be pet all day if given the choice. He is deeply loyal, incredibly affectionate, and bonds strongly with his people. If you’re looking for a dog who truly loves being with you , Rubble is your guy.   For such a big dog, Rubble is impressively well-mannered. He is amazing in his crate — calmly walks right in, settles easily, and stays relaxed the entire time. He mostly walks very nicely on a leash and is easy to handle. He enjoys exercise and adventures, but he doesn’t require constant activity, making him a great match for someone who wants a companion without nonstop high energy.   Rubble has done well with female dogs and cats and is not overly playful with other dogs. He would likely do best with a calm, respectful dog sibling — or as the only pet soaking up all the love. He’s currently discovering snow for the first time and absolutely loves it, which has been a joy to watch.   Overall, Rubble is a happy, gentle, loving soul who just wants a forever family to call his own. He’s the kind of dog who will follow you from room to room, curl up nearby, and make your house feel like home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html January 19, 2026, 7:21 am
